Tell us when you were banned, the reason given, and what led up to it. Also, let us know if you were a "Platinum Member" when you were banned, effectively being robbed of your subscription.

Let's keep this on-topic, please only post once in this thread. There are plenty of other threads to discuss what is mentioned in here.

Obviously, I was banned for being a member of the staff that started this site. We used to reside over TrailVoy but left because we couldn't get VerticalScope to improve the community, or even support the site as it stood.

I got banned for telling TrailblazrI6 that he was a fucking idiot. He told a noob that he had screwed up buying a 360 to tow a 5000 lb boat. He said that it wasn't built for towing that much and that if he did tow AND went over 40mph, that he was setting himself up for a fatal accident. I told TrailblazrI6 that a boat is one of the most aerodynamic things to tow. Then he asked me if I talked to my mother like that. I replied back by asking if his mother knew how much stupidity she had released to the world when he was born. Today I got nuked.

The assholes found my schill account too.

Like Jman - banned for being "disloyal" to Vertical Scope - the third owners of the trailvoy.com domain. #1 poster at 28K posts, technical specialist in 4WD and electronic systems, and Vertical Scope can't even manage to remain honest about my status and now displays a "No longer with us" half-truth as my status. They believe that will be less "disturbing" and suspicious to the noobs who might otherwise wonder: WTF happened to the Roadie, and WHY?

There was even a thread with that title. HEAVILY censored and edited by desperate TV mods to attempt to conceal the truth from members who just wanted to know what happened to me, and by implication, the rest of the active membership.

I got banned for... nothing really. Interestingly, they copy pasted a post of mine into another thread almost immediately after banning me.

I put gmtnation a bunch of times on my vehicle info. I never got banned. They only scolded me after I told someone where the roadie went. I didn't even type gmtnation I just typed to another forum. I got 2 points for that. Whatever that means. I havent posted there since.

Banned for being a disloyal staff member and spreading the word about GMTN. I remember how the staff would "compete" to ban spammers and clean up their posts. The noob-erators there now ban 'em when they find 'em (which usually takes them a while)...but seem to forget to clean up the spam.

Then, the insecure bastards changed my email address in my profile so the other members wouldn't be able to find out what happened to me or where I went. (I'm still getting the word out though)

You are exactly correct, actions always deserve consequences.

My actions were the direct consequence of Vertical Scope issuing a DMCA takedown notice to GMT Nation claiming that I copied information that did not belong to me and rather to a dead account that was used to re-post the how to under their name, even though they still used links to the pictures in my photobucket account.

I was perfectly fine with leaving harmoniously and not causing issues. However, when information that I have provided willingly and freely is blatantly stolen from me then I take some offense to that. I have no interest in sharing the information through this site anymore and since it wouldn't be taken down, I made the appropriate edits.

I understand that you are just doing your job, and I have no ill will against you. My issues are with Vertical Scope and their poor effort in managing this site.

I got banned for telling a member that everyone was/has moved to GMTnation.com. I was/am a platinum member until February (I think). I then started a conversation with the "new" admin guy, i forget what his name was.

Since I am always up for a good argument, I printed out the terms of service and brought them to my JAG friend on the Navy Base I work at. He went over it and then went to the site to see what I posted and he then started a conversation with the new admin guy. He figured it was easier to un-ban me for the sake of a 2-3 month battle between lawyers.

Needless to say, I am un-banned until my Platinum expires, then once it expires I will vomit GMTNation.com all over the TV site and be done with them forever.

Well I made a few posts over there about the site acting childish and hurting the community. When I am logged in, it takes forever to load anything. When I am logged out, I can browse easily. My posts are still there, so I think I am on the dislike list, slow to a crawl member crap list. Oh well.

I might of used both sites purely for more information, but after hearing stories from members here on GMTN I would be very cautious. I like it here, it's as simple as that. I can be myself on this forum, sick sense of humor and all lol I don't want to go back to TV if I can't be myself, post what I want, and e-mail back and forth to other members without my privacy being invaded. Okay, it's one thing to track e-mails and go through them...But to change what they actually say is defamation of character which one can get into some major doo doo for. Like I said, I like it here. I might glance over there every once in a while, but I will probably end up getting banned after this post. I do WONDER though, how Trailblazeri6 knows I'm over here?
