Tell us when you were banned, the reason given, and what led up to it. Also, let us know if you were a "Platinum Member" when you were banned, effectively being robbed of your subscription.

Let's keep this on-topic, please only post once in this thread. There are plenty of other threads to discuss what is mentioned in here.
 
Obviously, I was banned for being a member of the staff that started this site. We used to reside over TrailVoy but left because we couldn't get VerticalScope to improve the community, or even support the site as it stood.
 
Plat. member, on my banned screen there isnt a reason, however I am sure I was banned for 'spamming' this site, and my signature was a photo link back to this site.
 
I got banned for telling TrailblazrI6 that he was a fucking idiot. He told a noob that he had screwed up buying a 360 to tow a 5000 lb boat. He said that it wasn't built for towing that much and that if he did tow AND went over 40mph, that he was setting himself up for a fatal accident. I told TrailblazrI6 that a boat is one of the most aerodynamic things to tow. Then he asked me if I talked to my mother like that. I replied back by asking if his mother knew how much stupidity she had released to the world when he was born. Today I got nuked.

The assholes found my schill account too. :hissyfit::hissyfit:

Like Jman - banned for being "disloyal" to Vertical Scope - the third owners of the trailvoy.com domain. #1 poster at 28K posts, technical specialist in 4WD and electronic systems, and Vertical Scope can't even manage to remain honest about my status and now displays a "No longer with us" half-truth as my status. They believe that will be less "disturbing" and suspicious to the noobs who might otherwise wonder: WTF happened to the Roadie, and WHY?

There was even a thread with that title. HEAVILY censored and edited by desperate TV mods to attempt to conceal the truth from members who just wanted to know what happened to me, and by implication, the rest of the active membership.

I got put on "global ignore" for posting a PSA in the offroad forum on TV (which ended up getting stickied) informing people who needed help with off road mods where to find that information: Here or ORTB.

I got banned for... nothing really. Interestingly, they copy pasted a post of mine into another thread almost immediately after banning me.
 
I got put on "global ignore" for spamming during the jailbreak
 
I got banded as a regular member for breaking rules I guess. Putting the GMT signature is the rules that I "broke" :weird:
 
I was placed on Global Ignore after trying to "Market" the new site over on TV. I was/am/ a Platinum member which I think expires this month so VS, clown & phony can kiss my ass after that. :cool:
 
On global ignore for turning my profile into a GMTN bulletin board.
 
I put gmtnation a bunch of times on my vehicle info. I never got banned. They only scolded me after I told someone where the roadie went. I didn't even type gmtnation I just typed to another forum. I got 2 points for that. Whatever that means. I havent posted there since.

i had my email plastered all over my profile and instructed anyone in a thread with questions to email me so i could tell them about this site...

then they found my shill account jus this month, ls2 Blazer and i was banned for this..

I got banned because they said my brother was PM'ing members through my user name. :no:

Banned for being a disloyal staff member and spreading the word about GMTN. I remember how the staff would "compete" to ban spammers and clean up their posts. The noob-erators there now ban 'em when they find 'em (which usually takes them a while)...but seem to forget to clean up the spam. :duh: :hopeless:

Then, the insecure bastards changed my email address in my profile so the other members wouldn't be able to find out what happened to me or where I went. (I'm still getting the word out though) :wink:
 
They slapped me with 15 points the other night for violation of site rules. I guess calling them fucking idiots pissed them off.
 
Bastards got me for "member complaints about rogue PM's" Interesting that the only people I PM'ed are here now. Oh well, all the information and everyone that knows the information is here anyway.
 
Got banned when Envoymom asked about all the banned members. I responded that I could tell her, but some moderator would edit it, and possibly ban me. They deleted my post and sent me a PM telling me a had recieved a 15 point infraction for "not letting old new GO".
 
Who Knows?Probably banned for correcting there "super mod" and maybe the fact that I emailed a couple dozen people about GMTN. Is there an email I can send a letter to asking why they banned me?

made a few changes to my profile... anytime you try inserting a link to GMTN they have it automatically change to trailvoy.com link...
 
Banned for pming what now appears to be a shill account for one of the mods and recomending they check out GMT for the help they needed. I believe I sent the pm because one of the mods (actual user name) had been a smart ass in a response to the shill account so I was trying to help the guy find his way.
 
On global ignore because I had the temerity to accuse them of reading and editing PM's.
 
I am "no longer with us" over there lol! Sounds like I died:lipsrsealed: I'm sure they are using my account to pad their post count:cool:

As has been talked about by others, I was a mod over there. Never caused trouble just did what I could to promote the site. When VS took over, things went to hell, we moved the party over here and I haven't looked back since. :thumbsup:

Yes I can confirm that my private messages have been deleted and read by a mod.

You are exactly correct, actions always deserve consequences.

My actions were the direct consequence of Vertical Scope issuing a DMCA takedown notice to GMT Nation claiming that I copied information that did not belong to me and rather to a dead account that was used to re-post the how to under their name, even though they still used links to the pictures in my photobucket account.

I was perfectly fine with leaving harmoniously and not causing issues. However, when information that I have provided willingly and freely is blatantly stolen from me then I take some offense to that. I have no interest in sharing the information through this site anymore and since it wouldn't be taken down, I made the appropriate edits.

I understand that you are just doing your job, and I have no ill will against you. My issues are with Vertical Scope and their poor effort in managing this site.
 
I got banned for telling a member that everyone was/has moved to GMTnation.com. I was/am a platinum member until February (I think). I then started a conversation with the "new" admin guy, i forget what his name was.

Since I am always up for a good argument, I printed out the terms of service and brought them to my JAG friend on the Navy Base I work at. He went over it and then went to the site to see what I posted and he then started a conversation with the new admin guy. He figured it was easier to un-ban me for the sake of a 2-3 month battle between lawyers.

Needless to say, I am un-banned until my Platinum expires, then once it expires I will vomit GMTNation.com all over the TV site and be done with them forever.

Well I made a few posts over there about the site acting childish and hurting the community. When I am logged in, it takes forever to load anything. When I am logged out, I can browse easily. My posts are still there, so I think I am on the dislike list, slow to a crawl member crap list. Oh well.
I still like this site more. Just hilarous how a few comments and the immaturity shines right through.

Anyways, I have not been banned or put on a global ignore list. However I did receive a nice e-mail from Trailblazeri6(Super Mod), and I am very confused how he even know's that I came over here??

I might of used both sites purely for more information, but after hearing stories from members here on GMTN I would be very cautious. I like it here, it's as simple as that. I can be myself on this forum, sick sense of humor and all lol I don't want to go back to TV if I can't be myself, post what I want, and e-mail back and forth to other members without my privacy being invaded. Okay, it's one thing to track e-mails and go through them...But to change what they actually say is defamation of character which one can get into some major doo doo for. Like I said, I like it here. I might glance over there every once in a while, but I will probably end up getting banned after this post. I do WONDER though, how Trailblazeri6 knows I'm over here? I NEVER e-mailed back those who told me privately about GMTN....Kind of scary, like stalker-ish :worried:
 
They know because both of them troll this site. We have asked them to speak up, on a open forum, with no "shit slinging". I think they have either declined the offer, or just ignored it.

If they ignored it, it makes sense. Ignoring the problems (in summary) is what made the exodus happen.

Makes Sense...Kind of. I just don't see why they keep doing what they do then? Kind of makes me sad, like I want to go save the lives of the poor people stuck over there.

By the way, nothing to feel bad about. I have shill accounts over there, and I can always veiw the forum as a guest, or thru google, or thru Google Chromes "sneak" app. They cant block that.

And if they tried to ban my route IP, they would be banning the largest internet/cell phone provider in the world, so, I dont see that happening.
