Ok friends im pulling the entire magnaflow system off and selling it im gonna put my stock muffler back and weld my custom quads soon already got new tips but my one question is should I do a y pipe by the muffler or do a t pipe after the axle since they will both be coming out the back on both sides

Good then I can have your LT bumper, since it will just be taking up space

That's gonna be way more than 2 hours worth of highway time to pick it up though.

Haha idk I gotta get those rims at the meet ill be broke for a bit unless I sell my exhaust

But what's your recommendation gents?

My next major mod is gonna be that same belltech setup... and endlinks.

Do you know if you can run SuspensionMaxx end links with that kit your running?

Im still all stock after I ran norcalss' drop haven't had any problems except when you are low you notice every tiny bump but you look good doing it haha

How is the ride quality? I'm still really debating buying the kit because this is my daily driver and I've never owned or even driven a lowered car/truck.

Well as I said you feel every little bump but its still not that bad its like having stiff suspension cause my rear coils dont really have any gap in them to bounce but I still love the look

Also one quick question cause I bough new headlights assemblies and was thinking about just removing the cap from my low beam and putting a 9006 hid in the high spot and doing the quad mod just curious if they will look the same cause I dont like how the other quads have the high beam brighter

:undecided: I think the fins on the base are slightly different between the 9005 and 9006, but you can probably mod it with a Dremel to make it fit.

ya ive seen people do that and put 9005s in the lows but im not sure about the brightness since the bowls are different sized or if they where painted would the hids still put out plenty of light

Assuming you were planning to paint the reflector bowls black, I would suggest spraying a shit ton of adhesion promoter on the bowls, and then spray them with a ton of Niteshades. That way they look nice and dark, more of a black chrome, and you get SOME of the light actually reflecting off the reflector bowl. That's what I was gonna do before I decided to go quad retrofitting.

Quick question.. What's the point of a 9006 in high beam?? If your gonna do hids or led.. They all the same wattage between 9005,n 9006 right?

9005 is higher wattage on standard bulbs but I guess I never checked with hids I was just gonna play it safe and make sure its toned down

I understand the regular bulbs are higher wattage.. But hids are either 35 or 55w right? So there really not a difference between them except for the base of the bulb..

Just wondering since ur not gonna do bi-xenon.. Is there really a pro to switching it out?

Not sure now that you brought that up but I dont have hids in my highs yet anyways ill probably still do the 9006 I guess one pro is if a ballast goes out I dont have to remove anything to test it lol

I think the 9005 cree might be a better option for the high beam, no warm up time. You could also look into a bi-xenon projector, then no need for a 9005 bulb. My FX-R on hi beam mode is crazy bright. I did have a 9005 halogen in my headlight, but you could not even tell it was on when I would engage my hi beams with the projector.

Midnyteryder is right though, 35w or 55w for HIDs. Only thing that changes is the base.

Haha well at least I got one thing right tonight on here.. Lol.
So I'm gonna hi-jack your thread a min Ryan.. David are the mini h1's comparable to the fx-r's? I'm still working on the funds issue.. But would like to have a set of projectors by end of summer or sooner, just can't decide which ones to go with..
