Warm (10C) and pouring rain. Started raining yesterday AM, and not predicted to quit till Tues. Tha's pretty typical for this corner of Canada in the winter. The rest of the country is in the freezer, and up to their eyeballs in snow, and us left-coasters are growing webs between our toes!

Record highs in the Fraser Valley today, 15C, that's about 56F, I believe, and an unexpected break in the endless rainstorms that have been rolling in off the Pacific. Since these systems originate in the waters near the Hawaiian Islands, we refer to them as the "Pineapple Express". Meanwhile, the northern half of the west coast is digging out from a 3 day accumulation of 2 meters of snow (that's more than 6', for you non-metric folk down south) and downed power lines taken out by snow-crushed trees. I'm glad I get the rain, not the snow!

Be glad it isn't snow. It's something like 8 inches of snow for an inch of rain.

11F near Philadelphia. But 52F right now where I am near Orlando. Though the coming east coast cold snap is supposed to hit down here too.

At 11PM, it's still at 10C (50F) and raining again, but the forecast says sunshine for the next 5 days, and highs up to 17C (60F)

Who needs Fla.?
