Taking advantage of the only benefit of an ice storm.......free firewood! It's for my newfie buddy, he has a wood stove in his shed (14x32) and we spend a lot of time in there drinking beer so time to stock up with free heat! We went out Tuesday and got a good amount from only one tree, the owner was happy to see it cleaned off his property. We don't have to worry about all the small branches as the city is providing curbside collection for those. We won't have to visit many fallen trees to get completely loaded up with firewood.

I didn't have to go far to find tree damage, my neighbor 2 down had big limb fall over his drive way, lucky the gold car wasn't there at the time. And just across the street the branches all fell onto the sidewalk.

Here's the same tree overhanging the side walk a few hours before it broke.

Here's a couple pics of that first tree, a good haul.

Naruto marathon :Boxin:, eating Xmas cookies and cupcakes :salivate:, and lots of napping on the couch :Zzzz:. Not necessarily in any particular order.

Working and chillin in the office trailer watching Third Watch on DVD between patrols.

Took a trip down to Macon earlier.

Counting down the last two hours of the shift. Then it is :tequila: time. It is socially acceptable for someone who works 3rd shift to drink at 8am right :undecided:

I used to wonder why some were at the bar at 1030am when i was in college (pay checkpickup for me). They just got off work making homemade sausage overnight for the pizza joint. I had Maccallan18yr yesterday... What time you thinking?

Working then have to take the stray we picked up Christmas night to the vet. Usually wont pick up stray animals in neighborhoods, or such. However this was a long back road in Amish country, it was cold etc. Dog is blind in one and can barely see out the other, loaded with flees and looked like it just had puppies or lost a ton of weight. The Amish down here basically run puppy mills so that is our concern right now. Think it's a pom or a young German Shepherd. Cannot tell as of now.

While others may think of you as an alcoholic for that, keep in mind it is completely normal. I usually just ask them, what do you.do after you get off work? Usual answer is have a beer and relax,

At work again...

Chillin on the Nation while at work :raspberry:

Weekend starts now.
