Also, as a bonus, I got to try out my newly built all electric homebrew set-up. Everything ran pretty smoothly, pretty happy dude!
Details please mate. I use a pot on the stove for making the wort and transfer into my fermentaion bucket after cooling.

I punched three holes in my pot. To one I added a weldless ball valve kit and to the others I installed 120v 1500w screw in type water heater elements. The elements are also installed in a weldless fashion, with silicone gaskets and a one inch NPS thread nut on the inside. The elements are wired to male plugs that I plug into female GFCI plugs. The plugs run from different circuits in my breaker box. 3000w is too much for one 15amp 120v breaker.

For mashing, I have a plastic bucket safe water heatstick that I run with an STC 1000 based temp controller that I wired to a female plug. Just plug the heatstick into the temp controller, put the probe into my MLT to heat strike water or into my HLT to heat sparge water to whatever temp I need and hold it there.

Everything worked out great on the inaugural run and its great to be able to get away from my crappy kitchen stove. The boil kettle boiled faster and harder then my stove could have ever dreamed and the ease of temp controlled strike and sparge water is fantastic. One less thing to think about.

Edit: Tried to quote Matt there but the quote function doesn't work for me right now

:goodpost:

Burgers, tater tots, football and DVR for me today. I think this is the luckiest Lions season ever, with as bad as their kickers have been, and the way this game ended. I am boycotting the Bucs, as bad as they've been this year. We'll see if the Bears can wake the F up and play a decent game with the Pats. :ugh:

Enjoying the day off, clearing the DVR. Catching up on the first 3 episodes of TWD at the moment. May take out my center console lid and see how bad it looks inside there.

Relaxing. Did a lot of pranking at work today. A coworker was pranking the guy I was working with so we started coming up with our own ideas.

-Tied a rope to the bottom of one cart, then to the bottom of another cart, with about 50 feet of slack. Guy got going good then BAM! sudden stop.
-Tied guy's sweatshirt to the front of a cart that he was going to be loading later on.
And my personal favorite
-Went to another person's trailer, with a shopping cart. We have an old cart for hauling loading ropes and ratchet straps. Hooked up a couple straps near the top of the trailer, then followed on the other side with the ratchets. Tightened up the straps, then cranked down the ratchets. The shopping cart's wheels were about 3-4 feet off the floor. Then the dude we were messing with earlier came up and jumped into the cart and just kinda used it like a hammock for a bit.

Most of the department had to come in and take a picture, I'm proud to say that one of the longest-serving associates in the department said he's seen a lot, but that's the best.
