Been a busy couple of days down here, although that wasn't the plan. Got the new SSD installed, threw in the OS and all my programs.
Have noticed that when it reboots it takes much longer than expected. POSTing, takes like 3 minutes, and I don't think it took anywhere near that long before. (when it was brand new) Checked the Gigabyte website and my BIOS, to see I was about 2 years out of date, and there were a number of updates. Grabbed the latest, and flashed it. Mistake!

System wouldn't POST at all, and would take 5 minutes just to get to the splash screen before locking up. I thought I had bricked it, but after a few hours of research, found a way to flash the BIOS back without needing get into the BIOS to do it. Crisis averted. Will investigate ways to get around the slowness issue later.
This morning got out in the yard to do the final mow of the year. Grass pretty much stopped growing and is brown in most places due to the lack of rain, but the weeds... Threw on the bagger attachment, to try and pick up as many weed seeds as possible. It's so bad in the back yard, that the soles of my shoes are full of those spiked seeds every time I walk around back there. Figured I would just dump all that on the compost pile, and rake that stuff in. Pulled back the tarp, to find this lil guy hiding under there.
Did have one bit of concern, as the mower ran low on juice before I finished everything. Not a huge deal because I do the front yard first now, and move to the back afterwards. Either the blades would stop, or the drive wheels would stop. Looked down at the gauge and it was blinking in the red. Used the remainder of the juice to get it back in the shed. Thought about it, I've had this thing for 5 years now, so the batteries have given me as much as you could expect really. We'll see how quickly they run out next season when there's considerably more grass to cut. Replacing all 4 will be quite the investment, but that's the tradeoff, not needing to buy gas every so often.
Got done with that to watch my Bears get curb stomped. Knew they were gonna lose that game, but like always, they gave me hope with a nice lil comeback before returning to form. As a result, I think some comfort food is in order. Bacon double cheeseburger and fries are cooking now, those will make me feel much better.
