That my friend is a Holden Commodore Ute. (pickup) Was slated to be sold here but got cut. That vehicle is very popular out in the bush, hence the bull bar and lights...hitting roos at 70mph is no fun without the bar. The side lighting is a bit much but the lights and bar are pretty much a requirement.

Well that explains why it looks like something out of a Mad Max movie.

You're not alone, but I'm sure there are many of us who aren't surprised. There's a lot of that down here in certain parts of town. When I saw this ahead of me in traffic, THAT made me say

Common sites here in Oakland with the more urban crowd. Scrapers. Always wonder why people put $2000 of wheels and tires on a $1200 car.

Nothing wrong with being homeschooled, if it was done properly that is. I was (as were my brothers and many of my friends) and we all turned out mostly OK

Saw this today in Carlos' parking lot while we were loading the Uhaul. Guestimated at least 30" as it was sitting up higher than the Ford Escape on the left and Volvo crossover on the right.. Chris (he's 6'2") stood next to one of the wheels (before I could get my phone out) and the rim was almost up to his waist.

Both bumpers were scraped up and missing paint. Carlos was kind enough to inform me, the driver wasn't one of 'my people' That gave me some relief.
