The FJ looks like a toy to me for some reason, and those signal and brake lights sticking out are asking to be broken.
Not to mention they had issues with the body tearing if you actually went off road with them.

The three wiper blades up front too. Buddy had a loaded FJ with a 6 spd. I liked the retro look. I have a pic somewhere of a yellow FJ with a color matched camper trailer in RMNP

All depends on what you're going to use it for. If it's strictly off-road I'm getting used military HMMWV.

H1 would suck offroad around here. Too damn big

Other than creature comforts, not a lot of difference between the H1 and the HMMWV. Biggest are that the H1 cabin is waterproof and the HMMWV can ford 60" of water (vs 30" for the H1).
