Temperature Sending Unit

I need help finding the temp sending unit on my 06 I6 trailblazer. I am pulling my hair out trying to find it. I have the thermostat out , alternator out and i can not see it any where. I have researched it so i know it is in this area but I can not find anything that looks like the new one. Thanks for the help.

Sorry but by your picture Roadie it is not there.. Thats the area I have been looking and nothing is to be found there. With some more looking around I am wondering about the back of the motor or a different location

Ooops. Sorry. Didn't know (or forgot) 2006+ were different?

Called the dealer and asked them. Passenger side back of motor crammed in near the fire wall. It is not getting changed now. Almost impossible.

Had all ready read about it here in the forum so I though I knew what I was doing. It was just that all the stuff I read had the sensor by the thermostat not at the back of the engine. It was like an adventure hunt for the Temp sensor. :wootwoot::wootwoot:
