I think the Halos look sweet behind the projector shroud. Something like the pics below. Plus it is a custom look other than coping BMW.

I like the "halos" in the top picture. I have never seen any like that. I just don't like the old school White light rings, they seem out of style IMO.
Halos are a bit over used, but if I had them they would be behind the projector shroud.

If you are interested in a projector retro, check out http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/forum.php

Tons of retrofits. Pretty awesome what the guys are doing with their retros.

I am also hoping to mod. My notion of hunting fell to the wayside when my hunting buddy changed plans. I might have some time to do more design and machining on some of my custom interior fixtures

Looking to clean and paint my stock 16's this weekend if everything pans out. I'll be painting them black and snagging some of that red edge trim for the lips. Also going to paint the grille black and all the bowties and "trailblazer" lettering red with some touch up paint or hobby paint. We'll have to see, since we are supposedly getting some nasty weather this weekend...

I am going to have to work on my LEDs tomorrow, everything worked great for a couple of days, then yesterday right turns started hyper flashing and then omw home from work this morning the left side started hyper flashing. If I turn off the head/running lights none of the turns hyper flash. Wtf?? Any input would be appreciated. I can't sift thru the LEDs thread because there is like 10k posts in there.....

:undecided: You had quad turns before and they didn't hyperflash though right? Did you have LEDs in the front turn signals before this started happening?

I've been trying to clean up the LED thread, so at least the first half of it should be more mod focussed, with all the chatter removed. Gonna take me some time to get through the rest of it.

It never hyper flashed before. I'm sure I can figure it out. But it would've nice and a time saver if someone already figured it out. It seems as though the bcm has gone thru some kind of learning cycle. Idk yet

Hyperflashing is controlled by the flasher module. So unless you went with the ELM327, it would be controlled by load resistors. The scenario that comes to mind is someone puts LEDs on one end of the truck, and load resistors to accomodate. Then changes the other end and puts LEDs there, but the load resistors aren't enough, and then they get hyperflash. That's why I asked.

I soldered in 4 resisters. I do have an elm327 how does that effect the turn signals? Why would it work for 2 days then one side act up then another? And turning off the lights fixes it? That's how I know it has something to do with the bcm.

Whoops, wrong module, I meant LM487 for the LED flasher module.

I'm kinda stumped. It's like having the parking lights on is causing less resistance in the circuit somehow.

Like he said, the BCM has no bearing on the flashing of the turns, so you can totally rule that out.

Does everything still look normal brightness and function-wise aside from the hyperflash?

What ohms resistors did you use? I'm assuming 6 ohm since you said you're using 4 of them. What wattage rating did you use? I'd start there - check the wiring to the resistors and the resistors themselves. Start with the simple stuff first

Did you ever figure out what is going on with the hyper flash issue?

Yeah I guess the resistors I used were on the line of working. I got 25 watt 6 ohm load resistors at work for free and they worked perfect for 2 days. (Wtf)

So I went ahead and ordered the 50 watt and put my stock bulbs back in the front until they show up. I can't stand hyper flash that much lol

Also did some more painting and what not under the hood

So far I am modding 1/2 ton of weight into the back of the F150 for added traction :rotfl:

I really do not see much else happening to the TB unless I can come across a TBSS front and rear bumper or if Kevin finds a large enough machining table to start making his billet bumper step pads again. I would really like a billet step pad to match my billet door sills

Yeah man same here. Only thing I might do in the near future is upgrade my Morimoto 3Five HIDs to the Morimoto XB35 HIDs. Supposed to be comparable to Osram CBIs and for a quarter of the price. Waiting for Black Friday though.

Speaking of mods, there are two sets of TBSS wheels for sale on the forum for a good price and NO ONE is biting

Guess its all about location.

I know right. I looked on this site, TBSSowners, and Craig's list for months. Luckily I found a Craig's list app that alerted me an ad was posted with key words that I saved. Otherwise, I would still be looking.

Projector retro is a big deal. That will definitely set your ride off even more. Best part about retros is that they are custom. You cannot buy them off the shelves. You will be very impressed driving with a projector. I was amazed. All auto manufacturers should use projectors in the headlight

I say you should do the retro they would be a great addition to your truck Brandon. Ive been looking at b stock projectors today and kinda wanna do another set of quads on my spare set of lights or just use the bowls from the old ones but should probably finish the fogs first haha I seem to get sidetracked easily

Yes you should finish the fogs. I am quite interested to see the outcome. Did you decide to cut the bump or make a lexan cover for the front of the fog?
