Oh, I've got a couple scraped up for you guys.

The first one: This guy is just goofy. The whole time he's making his presentation I'm almost chuckling because of all the crazy hand motions and just the look on his face. As for the subject of this video, I don't agree with staying away from lifting because of the problems he points out - I'd say it's more of just a guide of things to watch for if you're doing your own setup rather than one proven by another member already.

The second one is presented as something caused by SeaFoam treatment. Either they did it wayyyyyyy wrong, or they had an issue before they even committed to the treatment. Listen to the noise of that truck, seriously. Then they go and rev it and it sounds absolutely horrid. It's worth checking out controversial stuff on the YouTube site and looking through the comments just to see all the arguments.

This video has comments disabled (wonder why? :undecided::rotfl:), but I found a "mythbusting SeaFoam" video that had some great arguments in the comments section. Some good, some bad, some people say smart things, and then one guy says "As a person losely trained in chemistry.... its most likely a gimmick. Carbon build up is pritty much un reactive. But you can remove it by soaking it with lemon juice. Now as for an engine: the temperatures inside wouldn't allow the engine to foul in normal conditions." This person has quite obviously been living completely oblivious to the quality of fuels available at different stations.

And then some other guy explained how to try testing for actual exhaust of carbon after doing the treatment using a white sheet of paper in front of the exhaust, and gets this reply: "The seafoam is a HYDROCARBON itself!!!... so of course it will exhaust carbon onto a piece of paper!!" The video shows a brand new motor emitting smoke when using SeaFoam, because surprise! one of the ingredients is oil, and then a couple other ingredients. But never bothers to take a confirmed carboned engine and do a proper test.

I myself have never used the stuff, but I see enough people going  to it that I'd feel comfortable using it, which I think I need to.

That second video...

Owner of truck: "Hey, the motor sounds like crap now, almost like it's gonna blow. I think I'll just redline it a bunch of times and see what happens!"

That, gentlemen, is how to kill a Vortec 4.3

What's sad is that I actually saw this happen once, just with a chainsaw. A guy who needed some firewood was cutting a big tree that had fallen in our field, and the bar and chain got hot and started to smoke badly. I told him to wait, and I went and got our jug of bar oil from the farm truck so he could fill the bar oil tank of his saw which had obviously become empty. As soon as I hand it to him he uncaps it and pours it directly down over the chain and the bar. :rotfl:

That is classic. I figured no one was incompetent enough to think pouring oil on something was considered adding oil haha.

Me either, until I witnessed it 3 feet in front of me. It was really hard not to laugh, even harder to find a polite way to point out that he needed to fill the reservoir on the saw.

Videogames?

For those who know and have played Doom, you'll probably get this. May even be a flashback to 20 years ago for some of you. :rotfl: There's also references to other shows and games if you pay attention

Has anyone else noticed the Trailblazer in the Firestone commercial? $7995 seems pretty expensive compared to the TBs on used car lots around here.
If you pause at 0:38 you can see it has no bow-tie.

The W-Body guys have been going nuts over that commercial. Using one as the main character, and then the 1 being sold with the hand shake in the background.

None of the vehicles have badges, except the car being driven by the dude which only has the "Firestone F" badges put on it. Probably to save on fees for having the logos present - that's why you see shows like Ghost Hunters, etc. who have tape covering the logo on their laptops, etc.

Have this video.
