Just wondering but what parts can be moved around Through the years and different models?

I know you can swap a newer year engine in and you can swap certain other hard parts such as diff.

But what about upgrade swaps like ext/ss brake upgrades, and z71 springs and shocks

Can Saab parts be swaped in? also how about ext parts. I read that the ext. Steering rack has quicker turning also how about the ext rear end can that be put in and then add a g80?

Also how about factory options such and turn signal mirrors, heated seats, and temp & compass mirrors? Is anything pre-wirred? I will check turn signal mirrors since I got them but my brothers TB doesn't.

Pretty much everything is interchangeable except the engine and possibly the transmission due to changes in PCM/engine management controls.

So what are good upgrades such as ss brakes? And how good are Saab parts, because I read they have better bushings and other parts and a quicker steering.

SS brakes are good but only fronts are an upgrade. SS rearend is much larger and a nice upgrade. Steering is negligible really. Never heard Saab parts as better except what they used of the SS.

Manual and digital HVAC systems aren't (easily) swapable either. I've added all of the items in the last paragraph or your first post (plus DIC cluster) except for the heated seats into my TB. :twocents:

They will swap over. It gives you a 8.6" rear end. Still a direct swap, You have to run a 2006 or new on anything 2006 and above.

I added the 06 part so others would know for future reference.

Thanks for the correction, I thought 8.6 but for some reason type 8.5...

Wasn't the only change in 06 the PCM and TCM switch and the maf and rework of the engine or was there anything else in suspension or body?

also aren't 08 fan clutches the best since there are no more electronics and 07 the best with electronics
