Your not far behind me, we need to have a crunch time soon, and get like 500 post in one night. Me and dave did that a couple of weeks ago, i got over a 1000 post in 48 hours and so did he lol

:whore:

:goodpost:

Yeah man I had over 1k posts that weekend. That was because the wife was out of town and did not have much going on.

This week has been busy. I have been sucking up on some overtime this week, which cause the whoring to decline.

I have always ran 93 since the day I bought the TB. Got quite expensive when gas jumped to $4.35 a gallon.
Unless you're tuned for it... why? Just flushing money down the drain (or pump)

Yiggity

Next TB I get is gonna get a tune. Probably still for 87 unless there is a really compelling reason to go to 89 or 91.

Carlton said that he had his TB tuned for 93, but then changed it to 87. I think the only thing he mentioned that changed was the amount of money in the bank account.

I do do it got hotter burn and more cleanliness in higher mileage engine. Plus my mpg is good. Prolly not only octane but I don't want to retune n lose anything.

My 200k mile engine runs amazing well still, I've been very impressed with it.

Sometimes I think of maybe getting another (NON RUSTY) 2002 TB that has a blown engine/trans for dirt cheap and just plopping mine into it. Maybe freshening the engine up a bit before doing so (new gaskets, inspect/replace bearings if they are showing any signs of wear, etc). Probably crazy and bad idea... maybe.

100k or less I'd say sure. Or if it was handed to you. Sure. But how many miles would you really expect out of that motor?

300k

Well, I guess then it would depend on how many miles per year you put on the car. But don't forget the motor is under less strain since rusted off parts make it lighter.

Don't know. But at only using less than a quart every 10k miles that's pretty good sign the rings and cylinder walls are still in good shape.

But like I said, maybe not a good idea. But then, I was aiming for at least 250k miles on mine until the rust became a massive issue, so if I got a nonrusty 2002 shell for say $1500 or less, and now I drive only 10k a year vs the 30k I was doing, so that $1500 could get me another 4-5 years out of this power train perhaps...

Hey now, that's mean

Do it....and rebuild other motor for backup
