They all have private browsing. If you are at work or anywhere else, don't think that private browsing isn't seen. It might not leave a cookie on the machine or it might not show up in history, but there is still a lot left on the machine from the browsing as well as router logs, etc. that can point to which machine went to which website. It might be okay so a shared computer doesn't easily give away your porn viewing but other than that, it's quite easy to find.

Hope not. Hate seeing anyone lose a job. I had to fire one of my supervisors because he had opened up the private Wi-Fi and was accessing it from his tablet. He was surfing porn with it. Our asset protection group tracked it down and showed that the device was only connecting to that router when he was on duty. They had asked me to ask him to start an hour later for one week. Doing that it made him have a unique shift. The router logs showed that device starting, or connecting, when his shift started and disconnecting when he left. When I asked him about it, he of course denied it. When I told him the reason for his shift change, he admitted to it. Once it gets into the hands of asset protection, it really is out of local control. This was a guy earning close to $80,000 a year and he lost his job because he wanted to look at porn at work.

Especially not when your salary equates to almost $40 per hour. As a supervisor he should have been an example to the people he coached and managed. At first, I felt disappointed in his manager and myself (his manager's manager). Soon after I was privy to his personnel file. He had already had a harassment complaint and the company moved him to, what was at the time, an almost exclusively male department. The specific behavior may have been altered but the liability to the company remained the same.

Could have been worse marc...one of the supervisors at the tire shop i worked at years ago got caught with porn on the training computer upstairs while getting a blow job from a female employee..
