What's pretty good? Low 20s? That's great for a TB. lol

Mine only gets 15 or 16

Not sure, but the 2014 Cherokee SRT-8 looks pretty sweet. Except for the $63,000 price tag

Ain't that like $60K? Ridiculous how demand drove the price up. Limited suspension options and towing makes me

Still, I would love to try to figure out what that noise is for you...I'll be right back with it :rotfl:

What's your elevation? 2-2200? I didn't farewell the higher we went. For 35-80% city that's not bad at all. I get that driving strictly city now.

I am at 550ft and consistently average 18 mpg, 20/80 city/highway. Best on a long road trip of all highway flat land was about 22mpg.

Makes me miss my Civic. I could easily get 38mpg out of the 1.8L DOHC VTEC with a manual 5-speed tranny. Cruised around most of the time in 5th.

around 1800

I got 24+ heading east, downhill, from Rapid City SD to MN on a tank doing 55-62 with cruise. I drove slow to see how high it could get. That and I was down to just a few bucks :rotfl: Yeah it sucked. but so does doing ten over the whole way too. It's SD. A step up from Nebraska. Remind you this was EAST of the badlands/black hills

I can still get 21+ on long stretches driving like grandpa on the highway. It took some time, but Ive acquired some patience

Are you lifted?

Stock. K&N filter only is all worth noting. That was on Fuzion AT tires too.

yeah see there is the difference... I am lifted and there are a few things I want to do that may improve the mileage again before I retune the PCM.

Biggest thing that improved my mileage day to day was slowing my starts from stops and limiting the downshifts when entering a freeway. What are you looking to do? I went up a mpg or two getting off the AT's... Oh and I coast just about any chance I get. No throttle in drive.

I am actually going to make some changes in gearing since I am on 3.42s. With the stuff that I do I need to stay off-road capable.

4.10s? I would love the extra torque off the line but as far as mileage goes, I'd say start driving slower :rotfl:

good luck with the project. Buddy is putting 4.56s in an F150 from 3.73s. Can't stay in OD on the highway with his 35s :rotfl:

I don't do quick take offs very often. One of the problems is driving around town I don't get TCC lock up as quickly and I can lose it pretty quick.

I look forward to see what you do and how it goes. I bet any loss in mpg, if any, will be worth the compromise in capability you get in return.

Nothing too wild but I want to try to keep things balanced.

What gear ratio are you contemplating?

4.10 because I will be at 32" tires. Which if I figured everything properly it will be close to the 3.73 equivalent. Which will still allow me decent towing and off-road capabilities.

I've visited over there a few times. Thought about joining just to be stock trail rated. I got pics from more than 3 trips. Some great rides over there

Morning whores.

This weekend I am gonna try the 4.10s with some 36's.

You guys think GM will eventually bring the new TB here to the US? All I have read said worldwide, but no date for North America.

An all-wheel-drive system and is powered by GM's new 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine, the which features a variable-geometry turbocharger for an optimal combination of performance and fuel economy.

Me or Plays?

I was just looking into the new TBs and wondering if anyone has read anything about a potential ETA to North America. Turbo diesel seems interesting though.

GM said it wasn't coming to NA. The front & turbo diesel make me like it but seeing the rear turns me off.

dmanns67 said:
Yeah I am not impressed with either one of those. If I got rid of the TB today, I would most likely go with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Tahoe would not be bad except for the V8.

Nice choice. I'm looking forward to the late 2014/15 Colorado & Canyon North American version. It's rumored to have the turbo diesel as an option.

Maybe something, but these are more of a test for the size and for the beadlocks. I am sure I will at least run out to our land and play a bit to see if or where they rub. They dwarf the 35 12.5 15s but are nearly the same as the 315 70 17s which are supposedly both 35s. The 36s are pretty well worn, but I wanted something to try grooving and these are bias so should have plenty of meat to play with.

A pic for fun...my buddyand I were drinking while mounting them and he found the tire shine and started playing so I think 2 and half of them became shiny before the can ran out.
