Yeah shop recharged it last sept. shop said that was all that was needed. He overfilled and messed his middle daughters Envoy a few years ago so at first trouble brought it to a shop. He didn't refill it just checked the pressure with gauge from bottle recently.

been reading here, lil from before the exodus in '11, and my Haynes manual. It's a starting point, the manual. Kinda sucks at times but is a good reference.

basically my plan is to run it up to temp, open the doors and crank the A/C. Check for drop in rpm and kick in/clutch? and feel the bottle up by the firewall and the lines. She explains things like most "girls" do and he doesn't drive it. So tomorrow I said I would swing by in the morning.

For a short time. We are on summer shutdown and there is no production going on in the plant, only project work. I have a little more free time than usual.

I wish things were slow at work... It seems like it has picked up steam

Every summer we schedule two weeks of production shutdown. It gives us time to catch up on preventative maintenance and project work. Definitely a nice break from the chaos when production is here.

It use to be in summer we would slow down a bit.

Yeah our slow time seems to be from the last month of 4th quarter to the end of 1st quarter before sales pick back up and production increases.

I got all the free time I want for another 3 hours unless an emergency comes up. Think I'll go fill mah belluh to keep up with you whorefawks

So I just came across a TSB for poor ac performance 02-05s. Wouldn't the dealer have updated the pcm when they installed a new fan clutch last summer?

You would think... But they would be able to tell if it was done.

Yeah hopefully. I am currently reading a 41 page thread from 05 on the OS. on page 7. time to make some food. Holy crap I brought soulfood! lol

Sounds like some have quite the adventure. So is the TSB applies to his '05ext, think they will cover it or play retchards and try to milk any dollar? Can't he ask them to do it if it was not done? I am going to take it for a drive with him after running it in the driveway come morning. We'll see.

I believe if the TSB was not completed and it falls into the parameters of it they will cover it.

:offtopic:

You guys think GM will eventually bring the new TB here to the US? All I have read said worldwide, but no date for North America.

An all-wheel-drive system and is powered by GM's new 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine, the which features a variable-geometry turbocharger for an optimal combination of performance and fuel economy.

Me or Plays?

I was just looking into the new TBs and wondering if anyone has read anything about a potential ETA to North America. Turbo diesel seems interesting though.

Both! We could have new tech threads... This is the whoring thread.

I'll start one after I actually lay hands on the thing.

And the new TB doesn't appeal to me off the bat..

Yeah I am not impressed with either one of those. If I got rid of the TB today, I would most likely go with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Tahoe would not be bad except for the V8.

Hell ya! If it was a powerhouse offroader that kept up on road too. Like a mercedes or Toureg or even a land rover smoker.

The new Tahoes actually get pretty good gas mileage I hear. I am not really keen on the new TBs.

Not a bad choice

air ride control is pretty nice. 5.7 and no less. Wonder if the 440 mopar racing sells would drop in that? it was only $14k a month or two ago direct...

What's pretty good? Low 20s? That's great for a TB. lol
