This wont be the first time i have lived with a FWD in the snow lol....As for security...well i dont do as much off road as i once did...But then again i can focus on getting one of my 4x4s fully functional if it came up as a problem. Most of my responses nowadays are in city and on pavement.dmanns67 said:It actually does not look bad blacked out in the center. Like Ryan mentioned, I have seen others fill in the gap on the LS headlights with some sort of mesh. You could also get LT headlights and do some sort of a custom grille. That way you would not have to replace the LS bumper with one from an LT.
At least you will get good gas mileage. How will it handle with all the snow you guys get? What about the security job, dont you do a lot of offroad driving?
I am not going anywhere, I still have my GMT330 (Blazer) and my GMT400s (Sierras). Plus the money i was going to use to get the Trailblazer back on the street can now be focused on getting my Sierras running. But having a payment that is $170 less then the TB payment will be nice i will admit that part!mcsteven said:Hope we will still see you in the forums, Chris. The Corolla is a very good car. Low maintenance, long life, good fuel economy, and probably lower insurance rate. Combine those with lower car payments and you'll be saving money for your wedding. Invest in some snow tires and or the plastic, hub based "chains" and you'll be good for a few years. I've got friends who've owned Corollas for ever, handing them down to their kids, then the next kid, etc. A few have made it over 250K miles (over 400K KM) with nothing major other than a CV joint or two. Besides, you'll love having a warranty. Just don't let the car dealer know you use your car for work - that's commercial use and probably, somehow, voids the warranty.
Fix the Blazer when you can and throw a GMTNation sticker on the Corolla.
The Sonic is a lot smaller than the Corolla. Closer to the size of the Volt or maybe even the Cruze.

My Civic was FWD and it performed well in the snow, but I am sure you have way more snow than we had in Kentucky.Darkrider_LS said:This wont be the first time i have lived with a FWD in the snow lol....As for security...well i dont do as much off road as i once did...But then again i can focus on getting one of my 4x4s fully functional if it came up as a problem. Hater. LTs are the bestCapote said:LT headlights are disgustingly priced, how does no crossbar cutouts increase cost that much? And they don't even look good unless you have a mesh grill IMO
Yes the headlights will fit. The only thing that comes into question is swapping the LS grille for a LT grille.Mounce said:Will lt lights fit without a bumper swap? If so he could just get some lt lights and keep it like it is.
I assume he wants to fix it back like he had it though.
I'd prefer LS headlights and an SS grill with LT bumper....dmanns67 said:Hater. LTs are the best
I actually think Aarkon and myself are the only ones who like them. Mesh grille makes a big difference.

That would look good. I would rather have a SS bumper, LT headlights, and my LT mesh grilleCapote said:I'd prefer LS headlights and an SS grill with LT bumper....
But yes Mesh grill looks best on LT's. Looks unattractive with stock LY grill..
SS bumper and LT bumper are far from the same my friend, but I will take the LT bumper over LS any day. Love having fog lights.Capote said:SS bumper is ehh..... Both have the grill cutout in bumper atleast...
Oh my God $800? I have seen each individual headlight for $250 avg. How did you spend $800?
LS bumpers have fog light holes too, depending on if you had an LS with that option or if you order one. I can get one for $92 on Ebay with fog lights.dmanns67 said:SS bumper and LT bumper are far from the same my friend, but I will take the LT bumper over LS any day. Love having fog lights.
$800 for new housing and projector retro.
Your pic reminded me of one I had back when I painted the emblem.BlazingTrails said:OK so don't bother trying to strip the chrome off of the grill. That's not gonna happen. I'll be rolling like this for a few days.

$250 each? Holy crap! You can get them new at Rock Auto for $130 each. But the LS ones are $43 each side.Capote said:SS bumper is ehh..... Both have the grill cutout in bumper atleast...

Probably a lot more LS models sold so the LT lights are harder to find in junk yards. Maybe?
