Anybody have a LS grill bar laying around? painted not chrome
I know lots of places that might have them, but I've been seeing a bunch of TB parts in my local Craiglist auto parts listing lately...

If you find one and it's close, and want me to inspect or set up shipping, let me know.

That's what I like about you Marc, you're always willing to check stuff out for us and work out something with shipping[emoji4]

I wonder how hard it would be to peel the chrome off of mine and repaint it? the fkn paint has come off twice now. it was raining both times, I can't seem to get the paint to stick to the chrome, the second time I scuffed it up really good prime painted and clear coated like the first time. the paint hasn't come off of the other parts at all. driving in the rain at 80 mph blasted it off fml

Damn man what happened? Or is the paint just peeling?

Use white dip bro, the chrome on the bumper crossbar is such a crap surface for paint to stick to

that's not what I said Capote. I don't want to dip it, i want it paint matched properly.
Did you happen to use adhesion promoter prior to laying the primer and paint?

Dont plasti dip, do it right.

I did not, I didn't see any available in that brand. I didn't think it would be this much of an issue I have painted chrome in the past and it never came off. I sanded the fk out of it cleaned it thoroughly and used primer. primer in my eyes is an adhesion promoter that's why I used it.....

Fuck man

I used to have a drill attachment that took paint off. Basically about 5 or 6 wires in a row, about 8 rows around the circle. I bet it would take the chrome off as well. Got anything like that?

Looked like this:

I showed you all those tails and nobody liked them. I'm not a fan of those bumper mount style LEDs.

A heat gun should work perfect

I scuffed up the chrome really well and then used an etching primer on the chrome and it is holding fairly well. The paint is faded and chipped.
