plummet the laser with the plumb bob?

The total station we used, we are not allowed to use a plumb-bob. That's why we have to plummet the laser which is on the bottom of the total station one it is screwed onto the tripod. I figured it out though, all I had to to is hit the FNC button and then hit F1 to plummet the laser.

Yea. Looking into some blistens all the way around. I got some knock offs on there right now.

Creaking could be from bushings etc too.

My passenger front LCA bushings used to make a racket for the longest time. Then I put the lift on which changed the resting position on them and they've been much quieter
