If I had any I would, but you could always go look at how the OEM 194 bulbs look before the LED Inserts are installed.

I was thinking about going with amber LEDS for my amber lenses. You guys think if I spray tint the amber lenses that these LEDS will still be pretty bright? I don't want to spend $120 + on clear/smoked lenses...

You should be OK, to a point. My advise would be to tint them in phases, so you can gauge what's acceptable to your eye, without going too dark.

Try a pull a part for them. On another note I didn't think our 08 model slt came with the amber covers. Also the original rims you purchase with your envoy are not part of the slt package. Some odd stuff going on there.

For what they want for the OEM Lenses, you can just about get a whole aftermarket mirror assembly, with clear lenses, and have a spare set of mirrors..
That's what I'm thinking of doing...

Yes they are. I just received mine yesterday and had them installed in 20 minutes. Chris sent me instructions after I sent payment.
Basically, you remove your lenses and bulb, slide his product inside your lenses, make a small modification to the bottom of your mirror (remove small chunk of plastic with dikes, dremel, file, pocket knife, or your teeth? lol) plug the wires from the new board into your factory harness and you're ready to roll.

These inserts are just a replacement for the OEM light, The lenses you reuse from your mirrors. Lenses are not included.

I always advocate for getting parts like that at your local u-pull-it yard. You can even get the wires for the lights out of the mirror wiring harness too, or just take the whole mirror so it's plug and play.

When I did mine I bought some new cheapy 3rd party mirrors online and my driver's side now wobbles. I wish I would have just gotten some OEM used ones.


BTW, I've had my set of inserts for over 4 years now and they're the only lights, LED or otherwise, that I have never had to repair or replace.
