2018 summer gmt 360 midwest meet Aug 10-12

Wish i could have made it. I was going to try n come Sat afternoon but the baby been sick all weekend and I think I got about 7 hours sleep in last three nights. Not a big deal for me, but the wife is hurting from lack of sleep bad and could not leave her with all 4 kids.

saw some of the pics and I know I missed a good time!

Glad you made it back safe and sound. Have all our other long-distance travelers checked in? OH? PA? IL?

(ok - Illinois isn't 'far' from Indiana, but didn't want to leave anyone out) :biggrin:

@rizzo20 was the next farthest out in PA I believe. I'm sure he made it OK.

Before last pic, our hosts ( @Grimor and his handler)

Some work was done by @Matt installing a panhard bar drop bracket he acquired (first pic) and also the tuned PCM I brought.

Great people, food, drinks and conversations all around. I was blown away by some of the trucks, especially the SS turned 4x4, the doorless TB and the absolutely clean Denali.

A shame i had to to miss it this year. Unfortunately there was some communication issues. I told they wife we were going then the day came and she pulled "we never discussed if we were going." "false, i said we were going" and well, it wasn't worth the fight as she had some other thing already planned. It's great to see a bunch of newer people showing up, but also sucks that allot fo teh older folks don't come around anymore :/

AJ (Hotness<~ screen name, he isn't that hot) and i were discussing over the last weekend maybe doing a chicago one and trying really hard to get some of the OG people out. We shall see if that goes anywhere.

Great photos, Grimor puts on a good show.

No, I wasn't that drunk. That is a ver.1 shirt. My new shirt I had a Jello shot incident the night before and was still wet from washing. Damn Jello shots!

That first one I wound up sucking out the back end it was so plugged up. Then the second one, of course, just squirted on its own. They were still oh-so-good though :tequila:

I'm still looking for maple-infused whiskey...and have lately developed a strange hankering for some...apple pie :tequila:

Flavored booze - get buzzed & satisfy your sweet tooth. Win-win, in my book!

My problem would be remembering to maintain a slow 'sip', and resist the urge to drink it like Gatorade. That would be a problem...or not -- depending on your view... :biggrin:

I can latch onto Canadian Raising like an alligator on prey.
 
It's theoretically possible to drive across the arctic in winter. Might get stuck a few times unless you add some tracks to the TB. Helluva mod!
