So how goes it? I realized I need to mark my calendar as I forget the date already lol. Also, hotel recommendations? Same one as a couple years ago?

Yea i looked into getting a shelter, but i don't have the extra cash. Cause ya know Cook County has to charge for everything.

But anyways this is where we met the last time.

I dont remember what hotel yall stayed at last time.

Do we want to do the same woods or due a different one? I haven't found any kind of car shows going on yet.

How much does it cost to reserve one?

That would be easy enough to split up between everyone.

I'll look back into it after work and after i cut the grass today. So i'll look at the one down the road from the last meet then. June 6th, should have it for the whole day.

I'm out. It's to far for me to travel. Truck/car rides cause to much pain since my amputation. It's hard on my stump. I might consider it if it was on the outskirts of Chicago. I hate the traffic. Maybe next year.

90% certain I'm not going either, for the first time in years. Unless I can get a stellar deal on a hotel and the time off.

ETA: things may be looking up.

As I recall, the Super 8 Willowbrook was a pretty good venue, with ample parking, and the outdoor hallway/balcony in front of the rooms made for a nice social experience. Only 6-7 miles from the park venue. Looks like they're booking for $70.00/night right now.

exact location at above link

I havn't had time to do much lately sorry guys. AS for the hotels again i'm not sure where to go. If i get some time i will see if there is anything good local otherwise there is the super 8 wishbone posted that yall were at last time.

Need to start a list of who's coming and bringing what. I know we will need a grill... Hopefully one of our local guys has a gas one they can bring on time.... not 6 hours later Sleepy... lol

ETA2 - also if people are up for a small hike. We can take a walk over to Chicago Pile 1. It is the worlds first nuclear reactor that was built at UIC in 1952 and then moved to Argonne National Lab and then buried out in the woods. Its a 1 mile walk each way.

I'm in :wooot: ...what do you farkers want me to bring, besides my winning personality?

And before anyone says pie, that's a given.

ETA: Any chance of doing some wrenching on the truck? I need to change the passengers CV, boot let go and spewed grease all over the place a few months ago. I've got some tools, but maybe not all of them.

My work schedule is changing at the end of next week I don't know what it is changing to so I'm unsure if I can go. The odds are good though.

I'm still trying to work out some details. Wife wants to head to St. Louis to see her sister and that might be the only weekend we can get away. Hope to know in a few weeks.

I have jack stands i can bring. I have a jack also but i think i need to fix it first. So who knows if that will happen lol. Otherwise for a half shaft you need the following. Sockets, big socket for axle nuit (I have), a brass drift works but a pry bar works better if you have the clearance. thats about it. Pretty simple swap as long as it decides to play ball.

Sweet, I have one of those wonder bars. If J brings his cordless impact, it sounds like I have the rest of the stuff. Plus, if Hard and Regulator come, you know we'll be OK with any missing tools.

I've got a floor jack too I could bring.

So... Which GMT should I bring? Rustbucket or the yet-to-be-named pickup?

Picking up the pick up today, hopefully. Got the loan squared away yesterday with a stupid low APR.
