05 rainier won't start

This is my first post so please bear with me. 2005 buick rainier 4.2 won't start. It was driving fine when i parked it, next day nothing. No crank, no start. Battery has 12.6v, all the fuses look good, i replaced the ignition switch, still nothing. I can pull the ignition relay and stick a paperclip in the ports and it'll start right up (with the key turned on) but when i pull the clip put it shuts off. This makes me believe the starter and solenoid are good. Am i missing something or does anyone have an idea?

If you bypass the relay and it works, it makes me think the relay is no good.

Would that make it shut off when i pull the clip out and break the circuit?

how about testing the relay to see if it is indeed any good.

I tested it an it clicks but ill try replacing it

testing usually means operating AND measuring with a meter to check results. Just hearing a "click" doesn't really mean much.

Put a new relay in, no change

Yes, it clicks but that's it. No other sound from the engine

Found in the rear fuse box the tbc4 fuse is blown. I replaced it and it blew again. Could this be the problem and what would be causing that?

It most likely is and there's a short somewhere...time to start tracing wires.

Any idea what wires are associated with that fuse?

None at all, I'm sorry. You might want to download the schematics that @Mooseman has posted. You should be able to trace them from that.

Im not getting ground to the #85 socket at the starter relay. Any ideas?
