You know you're a GMT owner when...

You accept that the fuel gauge is an approximation at best. (Idk if someone said this already. It's been a while.)
 
Deleting DOD/AFM is mandatory, even on new trucks.
 
When you look at a rolled over GMT, and think to yourself, that would make a good off-road rig!
 
When you have a spare coil and 10mm wrench in the rear cubby.

When your radiator cap separates and get stuck in the radiator.

When your filler neck leaks and throws evap codes.

When your truck won't start because the under-hood fuse box broke inside.
 
When you own a second GMT to use as a 'redundancy plan' for GMT #1 unexpectedly going offline.
Even better if GMT #2 is same model / year - it becomes a real-time 24hr parts store.
 
Watch another GMT spinning one wheel in the snow and mutter "must have blown his G80".

When you know what the red wire that somebody forgot to connect, is for.

I spent a few weeks trying to figure out why that wire was not connected! :crackup:

You're looking into buying a new GMT (colorado) and find out that TRS has a drop in projector kit that replaces the factory projectors so now you factor that into the overall price of a vehicle you don't presently have a plan to buy yet.
 
You replace your transmission lines at the same time as your winter tires.

And to add to the stream... When you are reading a first timers post, and you dont even have to read 1/4 of it before you know exactly what the problem is, and start typing up a response, or searching for a how to thread to respond back with.
 
When you finally find out why your engine feels like it's got a slight misfire... Then two days later a somewhat similar "misfire/shake" starts and you realize the driver's side engine mount that you decided not to replace along with the passenger's side. Because... well, it's on the driver's side and it'll be fine for "awhile". Awhile came at the perfect time.
 
Every repair advice starts with "Did you clean the throttle body?"
 
Followed by "use only ACDelco parts, even air for the tires".

They recall/replace the drivers side door control panel on your 360 and then call you a month later to replace it again with "an even better control panel"
 
You keep an eye open for new class action lawsuits you can join.

You gamble and go on a Motorhome trip with six year old battery :duh: and it shits the bed in the mountains of Vermont...but hey, it was only a 60 mile round trip back to the campground to find an Advance Auto store all the while watching the volt meter hoping that the alt. would survive the trek. And did I mention that I turned the AC off in the sweltering heat to lessen the drain...such fun...:duh::duh::duh::duh:

I'd say so! I much preferred driving the Envoy/Trailblazer over my Avalanche. Mostly because it was easier on the wallet when it came to fill ups :biggrin:

Still regretting not keeping it, and just saving the engine/tranny for the Envoy.
