When its humid or raining.All guages stop working???

Hey guys and gals. I have a problem with the wifes 03 tb. Seems when its humid or raining out side all the guages quit working.Waite a day or 2 they start working agian.Not shure if the weather has anything to do with the problem but it seems to have this problem when the weather is crappy.Not shure where to start. Iam a doit yourself kinda guy.Thanks for the help.

Do you also lose any lights on other dashboard items like the switch illumination? How about the dashboard lights? If they're OK, and just the gauges go out, it could just be the power to the instrument panel PCB or the data bus wire that sends the data to the stepper motors to move the needles. Check underhood fuses #22 and 24 for looseness in their sockets.

Thanks ill have to ask her if she looses guage lights also.All guage function furshure though.I will check fuses. Thanks agian Bill.....ps Where is the guage stepper motor located

Each gauge has a stepper motor (there are six of them) and they are mounted on the cluster printed circuit board (PCB) behind each gauge.
