It was -4 when I got up this morning and my pipes were frozen  At least they are on the south side so with the sun out today even though it only barely got to 10 outside it thawed the pipes out and I have water now.

Early next week is supposed to be even colder, but my boss's wife gave me a big old space heater to borrow so I'll be using that to heat the area where the pipes come into the place.

Oh, apparently there is a chance of a winter storm blast on Sunday, 4-6 inches they say. Yay.

Well I lied lol... -8* for the high on monday into tuesday with wind chills as low as -30 to -40 degrees. My furnace will be going non stop :rotfl:

Haven't broke zero in what seems like a week ot more but the only thing they mention is how cold Monday will be. Record lows for high temps. I'm getting a new battery today. Frozen flesh in 5 minutes? No thank you!
Update:The Governor has closed all schools for Monday already.

Yeah, its going to be nasty cold for a few days. Makes me glad I put Mobil 1 in the truck when I changed the oil. She turns over and starts OK, but sounds just a little harsh at first.

Got up to 30-ish today and that let me get my pipes thawed. Yeah, the heater didn't seem to work. Thawed out the walls (had sheets of ice on them from freezing condensation) but the pipes were still frozen until mid-late morning. Tells me they are freezing somewhere else. Or, somewhere additional :hopeless:

I need an IR thermometer to see where the heck everything is freezing at.

Yay for dropping to subzero temps by Monday afternoon and -30 to -40 windchill on Monday and Tuesday

Redleg- my father has cousins in ne KS. Love hearing their "cold" weather farm stories come summer.

Garbage. Raining right now at 37F, so it's likely to freeze. Guess I get to wake up an hour early in the morning... :hissyfit:

-31ºC today, about -50 with the wind chill factor. Brutal weather, and I was told today the heat at work has broken down.
Might be a long day tomorrow at work .....

67 degrees with dense fog in some places on the drive this morning. This is our high for the day, as we're supposed to start cooling off and dip down into the low 30's tonight. The FL natives are going to start freaking out  :hopeless:

The system got locked up. It was stuck in a perpetual cycle with the roof top unit not firing the igniters. Just had to cycle it off and on again. Now just waiting for the furnace to reheat the office. And apparently some of the employees of the building owners didn't know the 2nd roof top for our units never worked.

Feckin' -17F....

Brrr..!!

Be interesting to see how crap the TB runs in this cold weather. It runs very 'gruffly' in temps below about 20F.

-14*.

Feels like -41*.

Lots of wind.

Roads are covered in ice.

Big snow drifts blocking some roads.

Assorted slew of cars sitting in ditches on the way into work today.

Mine loves it, it's funny Tami says Phantom doesn't run as good in the cold, mine on the other hand, runs like a champ!

How's your gas mileage in the cold weather..??

Ours is down roughly 2mpg from what we get in Summer. The TB runs well enough....no problems....it's just 'gruff', especially setting off from a standing start in 1st gear.
