Off to Apex Peak to replace a roof that was partially torn off of the building that stores several repeaters.

About to go work on the dub for a bit and look at a potential project.

At work trying to play catchup since I'm actually doing the jobs of two people right now and I spent my entire week getting nowhere while I trained my replacement for the old job.

I did get the windshield replaced in the TB this morning though. Just one more of the little things to check off the list to get it to adequate DD status.

One year of the West Virginia winter destroyed my "stainless steel" tip.

Replaced it this morning with another stainless steel tip, hopefully it will hold up.

Maybe spray it with some clear high heat/engine paint for protection?

Busy day today. Sold mother inlaws van for her, got my new bike set up, no not that kind a peddle pusher

Screwing w morons on Trailvoy Facebook page ;)

HOLY CHIT MAN! That's one year? We had a ton of snow this year, in fact 3rd most on record, but my tip didn't do that! Wow.... If that's what happens to stainless steel in WV I'm not going to visit ever!

And yes, clear coat the hell out of it, let it set up for a few days, and wax it.

Stainless steel doesn't do well in low-oxygen, high-salinity, or poor-circulation environments. We definitely have had a high-salinity environment. They go bananas with the salt since it's all hills and mountains around here.

Taking my POS 1/4" torque wrench back to harbor freight for a refund. :lipsrsealed:

A little update from my post yesterday.

Ripped out this professional shop garbage install. I didn't ask/didn't care who did it. To be fair, this unit was installed before the truck was retarded-loud.

I wonder if they made commission on t-taps and butt connectors. Despite the butchery, the ignition harness is salvageable.

Grounded to a painted piece of metal that was held on by one of four bolts. Pro.

Goodbye garbage. Obviously I can't show anything about the installation, but let's just say mine looks nothing like this.

Just got back from being blown around at 3500' working on a roof. So windy we had to leave it for the day and not get the flashing and roofing up. The new roof is in place though.

Thanks man! I just wish I could do this kind of work for my normal 9-5. Shops want quantity. I want quality. Wait - that's how my current job is.:lipsrsealed:

It is always fun fixing someone else mess.

Indeed. The last custom truck that I rewired was possibly the worst that I've seen. We're talking a fire hazard on wheels. That truck has some more work to be done before I can be totally finished with it - I'll post that up when it's done. It may be debuting the Carlisle show.

The work thing
