Fellow chef here.

I'm the head chef for an organization that has a mens homeless shelter, a homeless drop-in center and a youth run café. I basically run the hostel kitchen and cook dinner monday to friday evening.

Getting ready to push my buddies Alero out of the underground parking. His starter died. Then its off to work.

Tonight the men are getting bbq'd pork chops (or chicken thighs for the "no pork ppl)", coleslaw, pasta salad and greek salad.

The "kids" are actually "at risk" youth from 18-29 lol. I thought that age group was "young adults" before I started there lol. Mostly school drop-out, druggy, failure to launch types. They do surprisingly well at work, although their attendance is very hit or miss and being late for work is a way of life lol.

get extra lawn mower running, cut grass, call around to find torque converter and trans fluid pump. Still havn't gotten the saturn replated so I can drive, then some shopping. Then looking for new wheels for the new tires, possibly order adapters to replace the spacers on my truck. Then drink till i can't drink no more. Till the morning when I have to move some limestone window headers...

Worked 12 hrs last night and was wanting to stay awake to go to my wife's ultra sound appointment for the baby. I was so tired passed out and needless to say I missed it. Anyway we are having a girl and she weighs 1 lb 1 oz. Soooo my wife went to "babies r us" and bought a bought a new stroller and such. After 4 yrs of trying my wife and I are pretty stoked.

Congratulations bro! I remember when me and my wife first found out that she was pregnant, and found out that she'd be having twins all at the same time.

We were excited, I almost shed a tear out of happiness. I love my kids so much, since they havn't been living with my I've become a very man broken inside, more irritable, unmotivated as hell, and very careless. Sucks not being with them and only seeing them seldom over Skype
