Valve Cover Gasket

Adding to my own "honey-do list" this winter is replacing my valve cover gasket. Its been seeping oil at the rear of the engine and into the wells since I changed the plugs last (95k miles - I now have 150,000) :lipsrsealed: This results in a quart loss or so between OCI's of 7000 miles.

So I googled it. Looks like it 'can' be a PITA if you arent prepared.

Does anybody have any tips for getting to all of the intake manifold bolts? That seems to be the most time consuming part of this job.

Any tips or advice in general for this job are greatly appreciated.

I will tell you that I had a shop do mine. I am competent, but I had seen you need to remove the AC components to get to it. I was having some other work done and had the gasket replaced, too.

Share as many tips as you come across.
