The military owns you and can/will dictate your life. You want to buy a firearm, you need the commanding officer's written approval and signature along with an interrogation. Dont even get me started on buying a motorcycle.

I know a lot of guys that own weapons, they never had to get the commanders sig of approval. If you wanna store your own weapon in your unit's arms room, then yeah (idk why anyone would lol). But yes if you wanna own a motorcycle, you need to do the basic riders coarse and advanced if you so-please to and then you also become a high-risk soldier due to the risks of operating a motorcycle. The military does like to own every aspect of your life. We can be trusted with weaponry, but need our hand held and treated like a child on a daily basis with the most menial of things.
