It may be a couple of weeks before i do the dome lights. We started on my dash, I am going to order some LED's for a/c controls, and door switches. I am looking now for some SMD's for the cluster in red. I am worried about hot spots in the cluster. also I am thinking about getting an Envoy Cluster to put in my truck.dmanns67 said:

SMDs will be tricky with the three short positive and negative legs, I guess that might be why everyone uses the old style LEDs.

Can't find any raw 5630 chips on Ebay other than white.. 
Red 5050 chips are quite available and cheap (only saw them from China probably more from US seller) for 100 at under $6.

yeah man i changed some diodes yesterday, and that thing is badass around 780 *F. Also I had to repair my 1280 Watt thermaltake PSU, the idiots in the factory landed the peripheral secondary 12v Rail feed to the primary Rail. I took it apart and was like WTF?? lol i swapped it over and it works great. Never needed the 12v rail before because everything ran on 5v until i just bought a new DVD drive which requires the 12v secondary.Capote said:

I swear people are copying me around here, seeing way too many cars with green LEDs and just a few minutes ago I saw a Canyon with a glowing white grill

Not the secondary, The primary rail had both of the 12v feeds soldered to it. so everything for the video cards and board fans etc had power.Sparky said:

My LED mod bug has been twitching with a bad case of cabin fever lately. Infecting other people's mod bugs hasn't been satisfying enough. Might try to come up with something before our meet in 2 weeks, even though participants are dropping out left and right (like every year )
