That sounds badass man, wish I had some tiny green strobes in my headlights
The strobes at that time (year 2000) looked like HID bulbs. Had to drill into the headlight housing and use a rubber grommet for a seal and slide the strobe in. For some reason I have zero pics of the Thunderbird. The only pic I found is the first day that I got the car and my mom was handing me the keys.

When does the mini meet start?

Won't be happening today :frown: Brandon works until 8 and forgot he had to do something tomorrow for the majority of the day. Sooo pretty much won't be over at his place until after 5 tomorrow.

Yeah, but I have a FOUR day weekend next weekend, that's when he has a three day weekend. Next weekend will leave us a ton of mod time

More LEDs on both our TB's, dropping rear springs 1 more inch, hopefully I can get my cat gutted (probably not this weekend), maybe putting on my new trans pan, idk what else yet

Does BT have his cat gutted? I had a straight through cat on my Civic. Did not notice any more power other than it was louder.

Yeah he does, it sounds amazing. He very nicely let me drive it down to O-Reilly's to get something. It was awesome, exhaust smelled great too, loved the rumbling

He never lets anyone drive it lol :rotfl:

Thanks. I hope someone takes the plunge. That is a lot of money to waste. I am surprised that someone on HIDP has not done a comparison of HID to LED in projectors or maybe they have and I cannot find the thread.

They have, the consensus is that the LED sellers inflate their lumen values, and that the LED kits, while good for the operating temperature and no warm up time, aren't as bright as OEM HIDs (Phlilips and Osram mainly) and tend to have reliability issues, which we have seen with Kevin's kits so far.

Good point. I have seen some responses to the Crees regarding bad drivers. I really dont want to put HIDs in for the hi beams with the warm up time like you mentioned which is why i was leaning towards Kevin's Crees.

I did see some Crees on vleds.com. They wanted $200 a pair for their new 3200 L LED headlights

Yeah, I'm thinking next retrofit will be FX-R in the low beam bucket, and then a modded MD2S for high beam, which would be perfect for the Cree D2S bulb. I've been itching to get a mod done for a while. Also been kicking around ideas to redo my dome lights. Can't decide which direction I wanna go.

Decisions, decisions. The life of a modder :celebrate:

I have to say I am definitely impressed with the FX-Rs. Hi beams are awesome and helps when driving home on the hilly back roads.

:undecided: If only I could see some high beam output shots to support my decision :poke:

Ask for them in the CREE thread and I bet you will receive. :lipsrsealed:

You will have them tonight/early tomorrow morning . Still at work and have to hit the grocery afterwards.

Successfully added green LEDs to headlight switch, working on rear wiper switch now, even though I removed my rear wiper....just something to tinker with until I dremel the hole wider to put a gauge there maybe....

It could not have happened... There are no pics.
Not finished yet, finishing up rear wiper switch then I can hook it up :raspberry:

Funny, it says you finished... And working on something else.

Yes I finished one thing, now finishing up the other.

If you are typing you aren't working which means you have time to post a pic of said finished product....

I'm working at my computer stand, I can take pics, mid-progress if that'll suffice at the moment? :raspberry:

Then be patient

lol yes the headlight switch, I killed my battery last time going in and out of the house testing the door modules last time. Afraid of it happening again, so just waiting to hook up both at the same time to reduce the likely-hood of that happening again

Green LEDs in headlight switch, Green w/ blue in rear wiper switch. I apologize for lack of clarity and vividness in colors, even with the dome lights off it was hard to tell with the camera on my phone. Dash bezel is still off because I have more mods planned tomorrow with LED strips  Don't think i'm ever gonna paint it considering it always catches itself on the ignition when removing it and re-installing, oh well.

Have you tried dimming the lights a little? Maybe they won't overpower your camera that way and will be a little clearer, idk though, just a random idea I thought of lol.

But....they look good! It'll look better once you get the confidence to tackle the cluster.

Well you know i'm not too smart Garth to think about the dimmer.... :frown:

Thanks though buddy  , yeah i'm feeling pretty good about the cluster coming up, next is the temp controls though. But I ran outta blue LEDs. I'm gonna order more so I can do that and the cluster. When all is said and done i'm really gonna have to use the dimmer. My night vision sucks when it's pitch black like on a highway at night, because all the bright blue LEDs everywhere inside :rotfl:

Haha, don't feel bad, that's the first time I've ever thought about it. I just realized how dang bright they were and how they were dazzling your camera and it came to me lol.

I've noticed even with normal lights that I can see the road better if I dim the interior lights but then you gotta squint to see them when you need to if you turn them to low lol.

Yeah the normal lights can get pretty dim, they're already pretty dim as it is. I feel like the night vision is gonna get worse once I install the gauge pillar I've got waiting for next paycheck. Moving the tach gauge to one of the pods on that instead of it sticking out on the dash area, then i'll decide what other two new gauges I want. Voltage gauge is fine where it's at
