I don't think I understand.. but I want to.. How does this keep your spark plugs from getting fouled AND how does it trick the PCM into thinking you have a fully functioning cat? :undecided:

Well you're not using them for their original intended purpose. Spacing them back from the exhaust stream means it won't detect the cat isn't working. But still attached to the pipe makes sure it still gets hot enough to operate.

I'm hoping to do that on my parents' Chrysler because their cat stopped functioning properly. Not plugged, just not functional anymore, so the check engine light is always on and the vehicle dings every time you start it.

Ah. Makes sense. But what about spark plug non-fouling? I don't think I understand what their original intended purpose is...

That's cool though, never seen this product before. I used the helicoil spark plug hole fix kit with the reamer/tap and a threaded sleeve but not this.
