Hi guys,

I have a question as to how to remove the lower control arm on my 05 trailblazer. Is there tension on the front strut when removing the control arm? I'm having a hard time removing the struts lower part from the control arm. Do I need to compress the springs in order to remove the lower control arm?

Once the strut is unloaded (vehicle on Jack stands, tire removed, and control arm hanging free) the strut canbe disconnected from the arm with no I'll effects. Strut contains the suspension spring. Use a pitman arm puller to separate strut from control arm pivot.
