turns out that adapter threw all kinds of funky stuff at me lol... made the engine stall, and shake terribly... popped that adapter off, she ran fine again... so im not risking frying this new motor on a $15 adapter for a a/f ratio signal... i just cant remember which wire it was in the PCM that has the signal i can tap into...
so im just gonna save up and get the aero force gauge one of these days...

Pillar looks nice!
as for the A/F issue....I had a analog A/F glowshift just like this and even if you do get the right wire tapped for the signal it bounces all over the place on the gauge (from pin to pin) only solution I had was buying the Glowshift Digital Wideband Air Fuel and I used some AEM separate o2 sensor with it that needed to go directly into the exhaust...thats the only way I could get my o2 to function perfectly. Best of luck!
well.. change of plans now... took her to the dealer, they said to drive it for 5,000 miles now... and see if the noise is there... i have a feeling i know where this is going... we'll see what happens though..
but for now.. i have her all summer and will have her for all the meets... i'll barely put 2,000 miles on her before she gets parked for winter...

If you have to put some miles on her, I'll take care of some of them for you. I'll watch your girl for a couple weeks in the summer. I've been putting at least 300 a week on mine lately.

37K in 18 months...pretty average to me. All my vehicles have always seemed to average 25-30K a year. My moms Jetta averages about 40K a year and is hardly ever more than 75 miles from their house and my dad still has 265K on his 10 year old pickup that he bought new.
I really dont understand how people can lease when they only get 12K per year to drive. I would have to leave it parked for half the year to do that.

I'd never lease anything but I can see how that's not an issue. We just planned our house location around school and career. Easy since school is one block away, every store imaginable is 2 miles at most one way and complete country, no population is three blocks the other way. I put about 12k a year on my commuter 9-7x going to work and the airport wife puts about 5k including long boat towing trips up to Northern MN. If I want to boat quickly, the lake is 3 blocks away, if I want to snowmobile, I leave from the garage, If I ever wanted to take the express bus directly to my office, that stops 200 feet from my back door. My point I suppose is a little life planning for us way back when and 12k miles is doable. It's no accident we live where we live and the old real estate adage about location, cliche as it is, held true for us.
