I had to go with pirates, what could be better than getting drunk off rum, steering a ship and pillaging and plundering rich villages. And you can run off with the winches. You Canadian guys would have us beat though, we can't build the boat without wood, and there is that whole land vs sea thing. Pirates are still cool . Ninjas??? Eh. Something about dressing in black and sneaking around in the dark just seems stalkerish.

I picked ninjas but wasn't thinking about the fact that you never bring a sword to a gun fight.
If there were no weapons I would go with the ninjas but if they could bring their normal genre specific weapons I would have to change my vote to the LJC.

Here's my take on all this... (yes, it'll be VERY one-sided. Ha!)

Pirates:
- Have guns, swords.
- Wodden ships armed with cannons.
- Are usually drunk and stink.
- Fight like cowards, run when outnumbered/outgunned.
- Work in chaotic groups.
- Only two cool pirates: Captain Morgan and Captain Jack Sparrow.

Ninjas:
- Edged weapons, wood weapons.
- Masters of stealth, deception and camouflage.
- Prefer to work alone.
- Requires the element of suprise to be effective.
- Looks cool in black.
- Only one cool Ninja: Snake Eyes (G.I. Joe).

Canadian Lumberjack Commandos.
- Have big guns.
- Have cool beards.
- Can easily demolish anything made of wood.
- Can work in groups or alone.
- Always carry a bix axe.
- Have an army of pets that can decimate wood just as easily. (Beavers)

I think the win would go to the Lumberjacks.
- They'd easily decimate the pirate ships which are made of wood.
- They'd easily decimate a lone ninja by cutting down all his cover and destroying his wooden weapons.
- They don't need cover to hide in. Hell, they usually wear red so you can SEE them.
- They don't need to be quick. They'll just mosey on and raze the landscape till the objective is completed.
- They'll always have a bix axe to use - and they know how to sharpen it on the field.
- They have an endless supply of wood eating minions.
- Their beards are cool.

I hope lumber jacks can swim, pirates can just defeat them from the shoreline. Also pirates have to fight strange sea beast, im sure some rats with big teeth would be no problem. On the other hand I am sure the buck tooth rat could make quick work of the boat if given the chance.

I went with the pirates...They always have some good booze on board. Which in case we won't feel a damn thing when the ninja kicks our teeth out or the LJC's slice and dice our heads off.

If all else fails...BOOZE..it never does!

Ninjas will get the Lumberjack Commandos while they are out to lunch.
And a drunken pirate is can be quite useless, unless it's Captain Jack Sparrow.
