Ok so Im upgrading my wheels and tires after I install marks 3"body lift with the z71 tahoe springs and bds all around. After a lot of research I have decided on the moto metal 951's wrapped in goodyear duratracs. I do some moderate offroading when I can mostly back woods and dirt trails (just untill I get it paid off) but This will still be my dd for now. I dont want to regear just yet so Im sticking to a 32" or smaller diameter as I still am running the stock 3.42 and dont want to overheat the trans when towing my trailer up north. Now I have three questions:
1 Are there any benifits going from a 17" to an 18" clearance wise ie... upper bj considering these wheels are 12mm - 18mm offset?
2 which offset would be more benificial the 12mm or 18mm with 4.53 in of backspacing
3 Which one appearance wise would look better? They both will be around the same diameter 31.7 for the 17's and 32.1 for the 18's
