Capote you're in the service? We just had a party for my younger cousin. Joining the Navy.
So he's going the ROTC route eh?Playsinsnow said:He's joining as a career move with his Bachelor's going to officer training. I'm not much of a sailor myself. I'm happy for him
Capot: what is it you do? Curious is all, my hearing kept me out. B@stards. Turned out for the better.
Not reserves, he reports to Newport RI next week. 12 weeks of classroom then his assignment. Surface warfare officer? Name is way more "glamorous" than the job.Capote said:So he's going the ROTC route eh?
He looking forward to it?Playsinsnow said:Not reserves, he reports to Newport RI next week. 12 weeks of classroom then his assignment. Surface warfare officer? Name is way more "glamorous" than the job.
You know the feeling. His folks worked at the airline here and he has traveled well. So he's got that to look forward to. "Nervous" because it's slow close now and reality has set in. It'll be good for him. Give him some confidence and independence. I'm excited for him.Capote said:He looking forward to it?
I was a little nervous too when I went off for basic, but you get used to it. It is a confidence booster for sure, great to feel a part of something bigger than yourself and surrounded by other going through the same thing with you at the same time.Playsinsnow said:You know the feeling.
