Yeah forgot that definitely had two "F" :rotfl:
Spelling is a pet peeve of mine along with punctuation, especially on a forum.
My old boss could not spell for shit. He was my maintenance manager and could not spell maintenance (maintence). I mean basic words like planned, eraser, people's names

I know this because we have to 5S our work space in the plant which requires labels for everything. He just sucked at life. Glad he was fired.

It does not bother me. I am not going to call someone out everytime. Plus I know people and myself use tapa and sometimes letters get fat fingered (cough Denali cough :raspberry: )

I did with that one member becuase he obviously did not know how to spell "relay". "Get the OE rely the other rely catch on fire" or whatever it was.

His response was hilarious. Guess he did not like being corrected. I was even nice enough to use the two words in a sentence for him. It was all fun until the posts were deleted.

In :whore: threads where only the [emoji14]ostcount: matters, it is not a big deal. If you are trying to relay (not rely) information in a tech thread and can't spell the part right, that's annoying. When you do it twice in a row, you obviously do not know what your talking about and personally I think you lose all credibility.

Its a bigger pet peeve in my professional life than on the forum. I work with other college educated professionals who should be held to a higher standard.

This all started with a Major I had in my last unit. He would critique the spelling, punctuation, and grammar in every report or brief I turned in. It was good though, made me better. Just something that has stuck with me ever since (not sense).

I think since texting and social media have became such big parts of our lives. That typing in short hand is just a part of it now. I mean who really wants to type the few extra characters per word. Lol
