Believe it or not, I'm not really a fan of what someone would normally use a bong for, the sign just made me laugh, especially the location too.

Quads or do you have high beam dummy projectors?
All the projectors work. Projectors in the low beam buckets are bixenon. I put halogen bulbs in the high beam projectors (I removed the cutoff shield and solenoid in those), and wired them to the solenoids on the other projectors. That way I still have flash to pass fully functional without stressing any HID ballasts by the quick on-off. Plus, it was a bit cheaper to use the halogen bulbs I already had lying around lol.

Oh gotcha, they look good! I like the multiple LED strips.

So the white is drl right?? That's pretty sweet.. For some reason I never thought about putting more than 1 strip together.
Correct. One white strip for DRL, one amber for parking, two amber for blinker to try to get it bright enough. In the sunlight it really isn't quite bright enough so I have some 5050 strips I'll be putting in on the turn signal to help make it a bit more visible, and the 5050 white LED strip is 5000k vs the 6500k 3528 SMD strip that is currently in there.

To get the LED strips working the way they are I had to do some custom wiring. Several new wires through the firewall, and then this relay pack rats nest tied into the stock wiring under the dash. Good thing I labeled all the wires on this mess or I'd never be able to figure it out later

I remember those pics from back when I first joined or maybe from the o.s. I always wondered what you were doing with that lol

Just standard 5 pin relays in a smaller package than your regular Bosch style relay, that I then took 5 of them and glued them all together lol. That controls the DRL, parking, and turn signal functions on the LED strips so they operate the way shown in the video.

It took me a couple hours messing with Multisim to get it working the way I wanted after redesigning it multiple times. Originally I wanted to do it via transistors to make it much smaller but since those can take a little more work to act the way a relay does and I couldn't get it to do what I wanted in Multisim I said screw it let's relay this sucker out and be done with it lol. Lot less work.

Haha it wasn't bad when I first put it together as I had it fresh in my mind, but then that part got sidelined for nearly 2 years while I worked on the actual retrofit itself, then figuring out how to mount the strips, then trying to get it to fit, then just got so busy for a while I left it sit for months... By the time I came back to it I picked up the relay pack and went  Like I said, good thing I labeled the wires as between that and finding my simulation file I got it figured out again after about 20-30 minutes of comparing notes.

Morimoto Mini H1 rev 4. They've had a few revisions/improvements since I got them, I think they are on rev 6 or 7 now last I checked.

Dimensions should still be similar? They still use the same lens size.

Yeah it took me a while... Test fits in the winter was NOT going to happen, and the summers were busy and I moved in the middle of it and couldn't find half the parts for a while.

What really kick started me doing the work again was when I got my Camaro and bought projectors for it (paid someone to actually do the retrofit for me so it would be done faster lol) and then I hated driving the TB at night after that :rotfl: Still had to until the following spring when it was warm again, and I was going to the Chicago midwest meet and swore to have them done in time. I literally finished wiring them up the morning I left since I sunk a knife blade into my thumb a few days prior when finishing the trimming on the bezel to get the projector to fit

Kids... don't cut towards yourself! It hurts when it slips. Especially when it goes real deep and hits the tendons.

Any of that stuff I just go through TRS. Safest bet, and they're good people in my experience anyway.

Nah, that was my dad, Captain of the Bong Team.

I'm much more, uh, conservative? I enjoy the very occasional cigar every once and a while and like whiskey and beer. Those are rare treats though, I work close to 80 hours a week now thanks to my internship to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and work a full time job.

I'm also a Freemason too, so I keep myself in line.

I would agree. That's the only place that you'll know for sure what you're getting.

Aarkon, you can get their b-stock mini D2S's for $65 if you don't mind the possibility of tinkering with them

Yeah, with a job like that you wouldn't have much time to be stoned lol. I'm also conservative in the sense that you use it but will do wild things on occasion.

I would think those were discontinued when they updated them to the 3.0s. Why are you stuck on them instead of maybe the minis? Output?
I for some reason have a huge preference on the bulbs and the way they mount ive always hated the way the h1s mount hence my matchbox projectors

The new versions are all 3inch that I have found in the d2s
