No good word. Three separate doctors have all said that they recommend removing index finger. I talked to one extensively as well as did research. The middle, ring, and pinky are where you get grip. To write I can still use the middle finger instead of the index finger. It would be an operation versus losing it in an accident. The recovery and therapy is being greatly inhibited by a nonworking finger.

I have some word. I have striked out on one supplier so far, Black Flame Customs. I am still talking with three other suppliers, HID Illusionz, Kustom 54 Lighting, and LightWerkz. HID Illusionz thinks that he has one or two sets of the older style and possibly the new style shroud as well, but he wil not know until later this week. I am still waiting to hear back from the other two suppliers if they have any spares.

That would be great if at least one of them had a couple sets in stock I never thought to ask those people I did try the one I bought the first set from he said he would swap them out for me then he fell off the world

TRS emailed me back and said to check with their "authorized" suppliers, which there is only four of them. I have the owners cell phone number from HID Illusionz and have been texting him. I think he will be the best bet. He is the one that offered the shrouds for $25 shipped. Not sure what the other guys will charge. I will let you know if any of the other suppliers get back with me.

Any hits on your WTB thread on HIDP?

I guess the guy that posted on mine was the only member with a spare set out there. Hard to believe. Almost makes me want to buy every set available just to have to sell to others since they are so damn hard to find. Make a nice profit selling them for $35-$40 for a set. I would hook you up though and sell at cost :yes:

By "authorized suppliers" you mean people that they get their stuff from or people that are authorized to sell their stuff?

I believe they are "approved" retorfitters that are authorized to use the Morimoto brand. TRS also extends the warranty of their products to the customers that the retorfitters are selling to. So you have the option to take care of warranty issues directly through TRS.

Example, HID Illusionz did the retro on my headlights. All of the parts came from TRS and when one of my D2S bulbs went bad, I contacted TRS directly and they sent me a replacement.
