I turned the vent knob to the window defrost and it shuttered to 420RPMs and fluctuated back up to normal range...., wtf. But the blend door actuators aren't gonna fix themselvesAarkon said:Its most likely since you had the electrical system reset. when I cleaned my throttle body it did the same for a while and finally corrected itself give it a bit
Definitely the throttle body, not the battery's fault. Gotta clean her or deal with it randomly dying for a while until the computer learns that the throttle body isn't clean.Capote said:I turned the vent knob to the window defrost and it shuttered to 420RPMs and fluctuated back up to normal range...., wtf. Thanks for that input Garth; so this is normal behavior..sort of? So might as well clean ths throttle body now huh? Too bad my vents aren't blowing air except for the floor now though *sigh*Mounce said:Definitely the throttle body, not the battery's fault. Defrost turns on the AC pump which is what made the motor bog. If you turn the wheels while the AC pump is on, it'll probably die. That's what happened to me when we first got the TB after disconnecting the battery for some work.
$27.85 for 15 plus your donated one puts it at $1.74 each. Still too muchCaptainKD said:

After your battery took a shit and sat over night, yes, normal behavior. Likely dropped voltage completely or just low enough to not support the PCM and thus reset it making it think the throttle body is clean and tune itself as such.Capote said:Thanks for that input Garth; so this is normal behavior..sort of? Guessing you tried the reset procedure?Aarkon said:Is the blend door making any clicking sound
Yeah, it tried to get the upper vents working, almost did then failedAarkon said:Is the blend door making any clicking sound
I remember which fuses. I'm just pissed about my vents, but I had to risk it and use this temporary battery.Mounce said:After your battery took a shit and sat over night, yes, normal behavior. Unhook battery or pull PCM fuses while you clean the throttle body to make it reset again in case it's starting to learn that it's dirty again. Can't exactly remember the PCM fuse names on the fuse box lid...there's two...something like "PCM1" and "PCM A". I can look tomorrow if you need me to and get the right names/numbers.

I've already removed it before when I put a throttle spacer in. But might as well clean it now since the pcm is in derp modeMounce said:http://youtu.be/VdvgsaDmkac
Watch this, I'm sure you've seen it but it'll be a good refresher. The harness on my t-body was a bitch and I couldn't get it loose until I took the t-body off to get a better angle at it.
