For the last 10 years my commute has been less than 20mins door to door, less than that for much of that time. Now it's 28mins with zero traffic but the trip home is through the heart of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Let you know how long it takes, probably nothing compared to yours

You gotta go where the money is. 28 min is not bad. I typically drive 52 miles round trip, but I do not have to drive through big cities. I also get to miss the morning and evening rush hour working 2nd shift.

There were times when my old commute could be 15 minutes on the entrance ramp. It was 32 miles and for day shift commute that was about 75-90 minutes. Switched to swing shift and there was no traffic home, but the 1st highway (880 to 238 to 580 to 680) was often jammed, so left early to avoid it.

May03LT's thread is definitely bringing the lurkers out of the woods. I have seen a few members join just to post in the thread which is good for the numbers, even though I doubt they will ever post again.

Seems like a winner. He definitely could have worded his response differently. Its not like he is posting in an anything goes thread.
