OK well i'll put a post up there to see if I can get any of them to join. It's worth a shot.
 
Yea, getting people on ssowners to come to a meet is like pulling teeth. Those guys dont do chit! In the 5 years ive had my SS, I've been to well over 15-20 meets from the days of Trailvoy and here combined. I've never been to one from ssowners. Tried numerous times to get things going, but always came up short.
 
Do we invite the 355 guys as well?

Is there a concrete plan for the meet on the Saturday? Collector car museum? Just curious is all, trying to stoke the desire to drive 600miles one way to Indiana :crackup: The bada$$ rigs will be enough but not so sure I want to get wet. Involuntarily :biggrin:

Maybe try to get a small convoy headed that way? :undecided:

Need to get with Regulator. He said he would get on it, but I know he had his engine die on one GMT and had to buy another, so maybe now that is doen he can get something concrete

Sleepy is a no go. His sister is getting married that saturday. He's still trying to figure out if he can make it to the late night meet that nite tho after the wedding.
 
Slight change of plans for me, given job changes and all. I'll be working the 6th but leave here right after work. It is only a 2.5 hour drive so that wouldn't be too bad. If I left straight from work I'd be there between 7 and 8 depending on traffic and stuff.

More details? Where is everyone going to be the night of the 6th? And where we going on the 7th? Where should we be planning to spend the night at?

I'm coiming in on the 6th and leaving the 8th...if I know where we are all staying.
 
Well I did a quick look and here is what i found if we are staying in Auburn.

Days Inn - 2x double or 1 queen = 68
Comfort suites - 2X queen or 1 king = 90
Hampton Inn - 2x queen or 1 king = 79 early booking or 94 regular
Super 8 - 2x double or 1 king = 64
Quality Inn - 2x double, 2x queen, or 1 king = 80
Holiday Inn = 105

They are all in the same section off the highway.

If someone wants to call and see if we can get a group rate at one of these? Or maybe plan on staying closer to fort wayne?

I would help....but with me working over time and being on night shift now (12 hr shifts)....im pretty much worthless.
 
Well my sister is crazy and thinks of postponing the wedding but not 100% sure..... Women :crazy: So I'm a maybe.

Hmmm, Sorry folks I guess I didn't realize I was taking the lead on this. It's no big deal though, I will glad to take the reigns.

Hatchet, Thanks for doing the leg work for the hotels. If I have my choice, since they are all pretty close in price I would want to stay at the Comfort Suites. I have always had really good experiences with Choice Hotels. I think it would be well worth the 10-20 dollars more a night. That said, with exception of the Hampton Inn, all the others pretty much share the same parking lot, so get a room where ever you feel comfortable and we can just pick a corner of the lot in the middle to hang out for our standard bull shit session and police interactions.

I will have to check with the Kruse Museum and see if they will have any objections to us hanging out in the parking lot. I don't see it being an issue, especially with people going in. It is an amazing building, and houses many different collections. They have TV and movie cars, antique cars and trucks, monster trucks, military memorabilia, and much more. It is certainly a must see if you haven't been there before or recently. I will also have to check and see if we would be allowed to grill in the parking lot.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from locally. Friday night will have to be at Mad Anthony Brewing Company, and Saturday can be at the traditional Buffalo Wild Wings. Saturday breakfast will be a free for all, depending on the final choice of hotel it could just be the free breakfast. Sunday breakfast will be my favorite, Cracker Barrel.

If there is any interest, Bundy Hill Offroad Park is an hour and fifteen minute drive and can be added to a Sunday plan.
