Congrats on the job! Now get back to work on that truck! Lolghenny440 said:Its coming soon man lol! Sorry my build is taking so long, i became lead tech at my job, now we are opening a 2nd location and i am between helping get this 2nd location setup and now am a manager so i have been pulling hella hours, and am finally slowing down enough to be able to get back on my own truck
ghenny440 said:Well i know i forgot the video last week, but here goes some more pics! I chose the JBL GTO 329's be ause of there awesome mids for a 3.5" and they are a 3 ohm load per, so the rms will be a bit higher, and they are 75 watts rms per also
Short Bus said:Be careful, the box says 25W RMS
Decado said:I'm curious how you are liking the DDX790? I have always been a huge fan of Kenwoods Excelon series (running the kdc-x996 in my T/A) and will probably be looking for a nice DD unit once I purchase my truck.
Blckshdw said:... I was gonna say, I don't see any spots for LEDs on those rings sir!!
Blckshdw said:I wanna see some multi colored, sound activated, goodness in here. I'm sure if anyone could pull that off, it would be you.
Blckshdw said:I guess that will have to do, for now. Since I am putting my mod bug on lock down, I have to try to feed everyone else's in the meantime
Darkrider_LS said:There is a very good reason i have yet to really read the LED thread through.........im trying the keep the mod bug out of my door let alone any where near my wallet!!!!! But i have a feeling im going to fail that considering im installing HIDs later this week weather and time permitting...
ghenny440 said:I had the pleasure of working on a 2010 silverado today, the customer couldnt get his system to work right, alpine nav unit with BT and steereing wheel controls, subs and a 4 channel amp, needless to say after seeibg this when i pulled the radio the rest of the way out, i had to ho throught the ENTIRE SYSTEM afterward! So please people if you dont know what your doing please stop being a yooutube installer and let the pros who do know what they are doing do the work
ghenny440 said:Yeah i cut him a small deal, i knocked like 20$ off of his 400$ bill only because he bought a 4 channel amp though, the pic does it no justice, this was really bad, and none of the barrel connectors were the propper size or even crimped propper, most of the wires just pulled out of the barrels with ease
Darkrider_LS said:Scary...that was a fire waiting to happen!
ghenny440 said:Amen dude, we do so many fixes like this it isnt funny, we had a car come in that cought fire because the customer ran the power wire(8awg) down the fender through the door, and this was on a hifonix brutus amp, and on top of the bad ground to the spare tire bolt, it was a "HOT WIRE" he didnt feel he needed the inline fuse up front, openening and shutting the door wore the wire through and that was all she wrote! His wife made him come in and pay us to reinstall everything proper, and nothing I mean NOTHING was under a single panel, he had everything just laying on the carpet
Blckshdw said:None of that woulda happened, if you had some LEDs in that piece! Just sayin....
At least you're able to get em fixed though, so that's good. Of course, if they don't measure up to expectations, feel free to donate them to me so you have room for better ones. My system could use some upgrades
