I know but that is at the low end of the rms spectrum, the rms rating is 25-75rms with a max of 125, we are liscenced JBL dealers, we push alot of these and they will deff hold the power, i wouldnt put one of our punch 3.5's on this amp thats for sure, im right about 80 watts to them right now, they sound phenominal, i kinda waited on the video cuz i wanted to get these in before making it, i should have that up tomorrow

I'm curious how you are liking the DDX790? I have always been a huge fan of Kenwoods Excelon series (running the kdc-x996 in my T/A) and will probably be looking for a nice DD unit once I purchase my truck.

Once i start glassing and set them in final mounted position the top ring for the 6" pro will actually over lap the 10" somewhat and angle up and out a bit, well im outta here gonna be cutting more base rings and some flush rings tomorrow, and carlton i have LOTS of LED's going in this build, so keep an eye on this

Went to get my check on my day off and had an urge to make a few more rings checked off the list, these are for the 10's in the front doors, also before i rounded them over and tacked them together, all i have left is a few flush rings to make and ill be almost ready to start glassing, once all the rings are made is when i will show carlton what all the lights are gonna come into play, i think your gonna like this buddy!!

There is a very good reason i have yet to really read the LED thread through.........im trying the keep the mod bug out of my door let alone any where near my wallet!!!!! But i have a feeling im going to fail that considering im installing HIDs later this week weather and time permitting...

System looks great so far man!

Well if all you're looking to do is an LED conversion in the interior pieces, or plug and play bulbs, it really won't cost you all that much. LED tail light assemblies, or fancy LED gizmos is what get you in trouble. :twocents:

Yeah i cut him a small deal, i knocked like 20$ off of his 400$ bill only because he bought a 4 channel amp though, the pic does it no justice, this was really bad, and none of the barrel connectors were the propper size or even crimped propper, most of the wires just pulled out of the barrels with ease

Amen dude, we do so many fixes like this it isnt funny, we had a car come in that cought fire because the customer ran the power wire(8awg) down the fender through the door, and this was on a hifonix brutus amp, and on top of the bad ground to the spare tire bolt, it was a "HOT WIRE" he didnt feel he needed the inline fuse up front, openening and shutting the door wore the wire through and that was all she wrote! His wife made him come in and pay us to reinstall everything proper, and nothing I mean NOTHING was under a single panel, he had everything just laying on the carpet

Yikes! I have no problem doing installs on older vehicles and have done many of them but for newer vehicles like my TB i default to the pros. Its because i havent had the greatest of cash flow lately is why the OE set up is still in there for the moment lol.

Heres a lil audio porn for you guys, this is a dash we built at our shop for a 1990 300z to house a kenwood excelon dnx890hd, the guy was shipping out to fort drum in new york so we had only a week to locate a new dash piece, cut, fiberglass, and make this thing fit where it was only meant to be a single din chassis

Well guys i had some tuning issues with my subs, and well lets just say it went FULL THERMAL MELTDOWN, talked to my buddy Joe Ault and he confirmed what i thought, i was tuning the box getting ready to meter it and start planning the amp rack, and it started sounding odd.... Well a picture says a million words so here it goes
mavamete.jpg

uba8yman.jpg

ydepejy2.jpg

e4e6ybah.jpg

Apperently playing it while the note was to low for tuning caused the coil to heat up so much the glue pulled loose from the former and it just went catastrophic from there!
Luckily the gap wasnt hurt so the motor is fine, ill be reconing them both(80$ per)
And using them in my nee toy this spring( youll find out that later) and am going with 4 12's for better tuning to my truck, but i shall have pics of the amp rack beginnings next week,

 None of that woulda happened, if you had some LEDs in that piece! Just sayin.... :raspberry:

At least you're able to get em fixed though, so that's good. Of course, if they don't measure up to expectations, feel free to donate them to me so you have room for better ones. My system could use some upgrades

Yeah i was heart broken dude! I think what happened was i had some young kids i was demoing for at my shop and wasnt keeping an eye on and one of them messed with my settings on the drivers side sub amp, cuz it was WAY OFF from what i had it tuned to, so i figured hell if i gotta retune it, might as well meter it... Shit just went down hill from there man... And there is a bunch of LED's in the port(was anyway that box is tore down and being used for the frame of my amp rack, ill be starting the new 4 12 box after christmas, to cold up here for the bass rightnow anyway

Wow....thats a bummer. Little bit of hot glue works wonders. All I can say is when you wind that voice coil back up don't break the wire..or it will sound like crap. :lipsrsealed:

Hook up a shocking lighter so when someone thinks they can adjust the amp to make the sound "better" they get a nice legal shock?

"Don't you see the please don't touch sign?"
