Well posting this here cause I don't have anything else to do.

This is my daily here in India. It's a 2005 Suzuki Wagon R. Cheap and barebones, but gets the job done. Hey it's got AC!!

Recently had the suspension done, all control arms, shocks etc..... Still rides rough compared to the TB 😂. Had this done at the dealership as I could t be bothered to do it myself. Also the passengers side was roughed by the previous owner. Had that and the bumpers repainted. Again dealership. Couldn't be bothered to do it myself. And dealership is dirt cheap compared to Saudi 🤣.

20180903_102808.jpg20180903_102701.jpg20180903_111729.jpg20180903_111725.jpg20180903_111740.jpg20180903_102625.jpg

Now what I've done so far

1. Put this analog clock in. Got it free as a gift from Amazon. Everyone thinks they're in a Bentley 😝

2. Changed the dash bulbs. Was waaaayyyy easier than the TB. Just twist type bulbs

3. Put some parking lamps on it. American style 😎

P. S. I'll post the pics after I've gathered them later in the day 😅

P. S 2. More on the way!!

The dash bulbs changed from a stupid weird green to a much more aggressive orange. Had done blue on my TB already 😂

It was still getting light at the time I snapped this. Much better at night

Needs some window tint, it's hot enough as it is over there.

Well first thing I did when I was back was put some speakers in it with a Blaupunkt HU. Much better now. Whenever I'm getting annoyed stuck in traffic, all I got to do is cranck the volume up.

Other than that just yesterday installed a centre console armrest for some long trips and needed something to rest my hand on

20181026_180134.jpg

Also getting started with Leds, as always 😂, for Drls. Having a hard time figuring out the wiring cause of how 'simple' this car is

20181026_183228.jpg

Also redid the rims with some spray paint as the enamel paint was attracting dirt and going dull in a few days. This should be nice and glossy for a lot longer

Haven't seen HVAC controls like that since the 80's / early 90's in the states and with you saying it's 'simple' wiring wise I'm guessing the rest of the car is simple and those are pretty affordable for a little toy like you're using it for.

Hahaha. Yes!! Compared to the TB this thing is like one of those battery powered cars little kids drive. But one thing this car excels in is low end torque. I mean it's just amazing how I can be driving uphill in 3rd gear without breaking a sweat. And when I'm in the mood it reaches 100 KMPH in no time. But then it just stops!!!! No matter what I do it just doesn't budge above 100 😳😂😂

Ohh and one more thing with the Indian Ruppee falling down in value, I get a big conversion benefit. I mean 1 SAR is around 20 INR. And 1 $ is 3.75 SAR 😎

So what's the purpose of a 180 KPH speedo? :dielaugh:

I think that the 100KPH limit is a safety feature, just like here we are governed to 100MPH. Does this thing even have airbags?

I don't think this car is that 'advanced' for speed limiters. It just doesn't go beyond it!!! No airbags, we die like men 😂😂

Nothing much done in the past few days except........

Installed some Led bulbs in the headlights. The lens are beyond repair as they are sooooo hazy. Also the idiots over here love to drive with their high beams on so I couldn't care less if my lights are causing glare. In fact I WANT them to 😈

The bulbs turned out much better than I expected

20181106_183020.jpg

Might get these to put them in my TB high beams 😅

Before and after pics

I mean I can actually see my lights on the road now. Before it was like I had candles in place of bulbs for headlights 😂

Due to the above issue ordered a day/night interior rear view mirror to help me keep my sanity during night time driving

Also ordered a newer type steering wheel to replace the skinny current one. Still waiting on the horn pad to have that installed

Will post more pics soon!!

You got a link to those lights? I'm looking for a set for my snowmobile.

And there are idiots everywhere. Lately a lot of people here have been driving with their highs here too. Once had to give a woman a lesson on how to use her stalk

Got them off of Amazon. But then again this is the Indian site, not sure if it'll be available where you're at, but here

Check this out at Amazon.in
C6 6500K LED Headlight Conversion... https://www.amazon.in/dp/B072BZQWGB/?tag=gmtnation-20

I have a bad habit of gambling on cheap stuff. But most of the time it pays off!!! 😂 😂

Agreed. However there are only a few rare cases I've had someone driving with their high beams on in Saudi. Thankfully!!!

All these new trucks n cars with led and hid fog/driving lights they leave on all the time that blind me even in my lifted truck have been getting eyes full of my LED offroad pods in the bumper which is typically about the right level to ensure they notice. I dont ever use them on road except on remote backroads and to show these other the drivers the light for a few seconds.

Have been working on this shit box for quite some time now cause if I don't work on something I start fading into an infinite abyss of boredom and depression.

Anyways trying to keep it short and simple here goes:

1. Changed the Steering Wheel to one that actually feels like I'm driving a car and not a turd. Had to trim the panels around the steering column to make it fit

20181118_133153.jpg

20181119_175155.jpg

20181120_183205.jpg

2. Then comes this project which I consider one of my greatest to date. A little back story, I absolutely loved the cameras for side mirror replacement concept shown in the mustang in the movie Need for Speed. So recently the automotive world was going crazy on the launch of the new Audi E-Tron which had camera side view mirrors and that got me thinking why can't I do the same. Shouldn't be too hard. First I thought I should out 2 Cctv cameras in place of the mirrors. But that seemed overkill so I came up with the idea to use the many readily available reversing cameras and have them always on with ignition connected to a screen. And the rest is a just simple wiring, different versions and the finished product.

3. Carbon fibered fuel lid and door handles

20181225_201700.jpg

4. Punisher wheel caps

20181225_185742.jpg

20181225_201729.jpg
Final Product, got rid of the mirrors altogether and am solely using the cameras for about a month with no regrets

20190120_143559.jpg

5. Tinted Windows : Yep I did it!!! F d Law

Seen in the pic for the third point

P. S Will post pics soon as they are not uploading and if you all want will put up a write up for the side view cameras 😉

Hey

I was just a wondering what a "turd" drives like. Can you fill us in? As a kid we used to throw these around, but never drove them.

Would probably sound like a lawnmower

My Honda lawn tractor/snowblower can probably beat this thing in the 1/4 mile.

I used to play a game series in the PS2 days, called Tokyo Extreme Racer. This car was actually in the game. I do play the 1st and 3rd games on my PS2 Emulator on my computer, I should get back to it and race in this wimpy thing lol.
