It's outside....on the car.... :woot:

Took a drive. Not exceptionally impressed with it yet...needs LOTS of aiming. They're too low and staggered. Probably gonna run the bulbs all the time for a while until they're burnt in and whatever color they're gonna be and hopefully brighter.
Dont be scared to aim them up. Its trial and error. I will adjust mine up and see how they look while driving. Make sure I am not blinding people.

Maybe you can go up to 55w? Or just upgrade to XB35 H1s.

Yeah I'll play with them. And heck, might as well go to 55w, if I burn the bowls I'll just buy another set of B-stock or the generics and they'll be a straight drop in now that the headlights are already mutilated inside for it lol.

I am not sure if 55w would burn the reflector bowl or not. It took me a little while to get use to driving with projectors. All I wanted to do was stare at the cutoff :rotfl:

They still blow when driving up and down hills. Wish the projectors were self leveling $$$$$$

Supposedly, 55w will burn/haze the bowls and diminish output after a while.
I have read/seen 55w will destroy a bowl over time. Not so much on OE bowls, but aftermarket.

Just save some cash and upgrade your HID kit.

Played with aiming them today, might have gotten them a little too high by how it looks on the road but I'm much happier with output now, still gonna upgrade to 55w though so that I'll be extremely happy.

Here, have a rainbow. Both of them look like that but can only get pics of it one at a time because my camera gets the colors washed out with all of the light below them, that's at about ten feet from garage door.

Dang this thread was buried.

Just an update, aimed them a little lower today because my road has a lot of hills and they appeared to be too high.

Went to town for the first time at night with them tonight and can see that they can come back up a bit, was way below anyone's eyes on level ground.

Gonna buy some morimoto 3five bulbs next pay check and rid myself of these bowing cutoffs and unequal colors.

Here's the drivers side cutoff, its got nice color but isn't sharp.

The passenger side is sharp though. Idk.

Yours weren't B-stock were they? Trs tunes all of the A-stock projectors so you'd think they'd be perfect.
They came with the complete kit, I'd assume they're a stock...

They must not have tuned the driver side right then. What projectors are they? Try taking the bulb loose and re-seating it, sometimes a mis-seated bulb can cause funky things.

Mini h1 s. The only issue is that the plate to hold the clip that holds them doesn't exactly line up, when the screws are all the way in, the bulb doesn't fit, I had to leave them loose push the bulb in, then tighten the screws.

That's not right, my B-stocks were fine in the bulb holder area.

Both of my cutoffs look exactly like this but I can only get a pic of them one at a time because with both of them it's too bright for my phone to focus on the details.

Yeah they're not too bad. I can barely see the difference in that picture, it'll just be one of those things that you notice but no one else does unless you point it out.

Btw Dave, there's the squirrel spotters above his cutoff that I covered on mine. You'll only see them on a wall like that and I mainly covered mine just to do it.

I'll keep playing with them on the weekends.

Okay, I know your issue now after putting Mori bulbs in mine a few minutes ago...

The issue is the return wire on the outside of the bulb, it's spaced weird at the top, too far away from the bulb.

Kinda bothers me because...uh...$40...shouldn't THEIR bulbs be a perfect fit for THEIR projectors?

I got mine in though without loosening the bulb holder, you have to go in at just the right angle.

Actually my issue was once it was about half way in...

Do you have the 3five bulbs with the hump/bulge in the middle or the xb35? I have the 3five's and they hung up there on the hump/bulge but, again, at the right angle they went in.

Exactly that issue actually. Pretty sure they're the 3fives.

So I figured I'd chime in on this started my retrofit about a week ago. Got my stock headlights cracked apart after some trial and error. Then proceeded to paint my hi/low housing as well as my turn signal housing. I've chosen to go with mini h1s for my retrofit do to it being my first retro and the simplicity of the h1s installation. Still have multiple coats to lay down on the housings. I chose to paint and mod the stock housings so all I had to do was switch everything over to my new headlights and tweak them. I made my clear corner lense tonight. Still waiting on my projectors to come in as well as a few other small things.uploadfromtaptalk1424219158426.png

Painted the grey trim matte white to match my grill. And a picture of the hi/low housing after a few more coats of paint.

How hard was it to get the projectors in there? Is there really any more moding required then the trailblazer lights?

I used a 2.5 inch projectors for these since there is not much room to work and it slips in pretty well no cutting on the mini gattling shrouds but so far better than the tbuploadfromtaptalk1424746279420.jpg

Are they the mini h1's or similar? I know they're 2.5 inches as well. I'm just getting some ideas since I may do this for the envoy in the future.
