LED bulbs in mirror turn signals

Hey i live in NYC and i had some leftover white leds (194) and put them in my clear corner mirror signals. is the color white illegal?

I had blue in there for 2 years but switched to white. Been another two years and never had issue with them.

Well it's all to depend on your state laws, and a rookie cop. Sometimes you can get pulled over for minor stuff (drinking a can of 24oz Arizona tea)

The only thing I can find for new york is the front facing must be amber. Side markers, the law is silent.

I may have overlooked it though... There isn't a "find on page" for my phone's browser.
