Is GM NAO v33.004 junk?

I have a clone. It came with v33.004. There have been many things I've tried, even following instructions from internet sites and youtubers, that my Tech2 just will not do. For example, right now I'm trying to set up a new BCM on a 2007 Impala. All instructions show how to get to the point to set up a new BCM, but my Tech2 does not have this menu item.

This is not the first time I have run in to this. I have to assume either my clone is junk, or the software on it is junk.

What version software should I be running?

How are you trying to program the BCM? Using Tis2000? ACDelco SPS? Both of which you would just use the Tech 2 as a passthrough.
