don't have HID's but standard fog is 880,
i run the silverstar 893ST in mine. they are brighter. :twocents:

Well OK thanks. I purchased 5000k 880 hids got them today and they just dont seem as bright as the 6000k....35w

In "standard" bulbs 880 = 27w, 893 = 38w, but with HIDs I don't think there's a difference.

Ah ok wasn't sure thought maybe the mounting tabs were different.:D

Hid is as addicting as led mods. Just got 3000k bulbs. Plan on installing a hid on my reverse housing and adding a switch to blind tailing idiots

I always wondered about the two different #'s. But yea in HID they are both 35 watts, so not sure what any difference could be. Thx SB on your post

That's a great idea until its a cop tailing you :rotfl:

Lol true well maybe the widget shouldn't be tailing me haha

usually similar bulb numbers means one is shorter/longer than the other; just a suggestion though..... if your kit is one that has a slim ballast, try changing the ballast to one of the larger 'older' looking ballasts (usually has a crimp connection and middle nub on top) I know it sounds strange but my 6000k fogs went from the cheap blue colour I hate to the crisp white that they are supposed to be, and are wayyy brighter now.

just like these
